I don't recall Romo ever even speaking on the time he pulled over and helped that couple having car trouble.... _________________

On pace for 660 yards, and a great blocker. Made Giants fans forget Jake Ballard. Credit to the Cowboys coaching staff for developing Bennett into a solid player for us. _________________

Isn't worth the head case for a 'solid' player.
As for the actual post, good for him on saving the guy, wish he wasn't arrogant about it though. _________________

Good for Marty B.. but like you said, he doesn't need to advertise it.
Marty has been a nice pick up for the Giants but lets face it.. he is never gonna be Gronk, Graham, Gonzalez, or even a Jason Witten type of player.. he's just not that dynamic.. he is solid and if he had remained in Dallas.. still on the bench. You can also bet that the second the Giants get a legit TE, Marty will back on the bench our out of town.. |

Bennett has been a media favorite in ny. But I get how he wouldn't fit in Dallas. They have such high standards when it comes to character... with the Dez Bryant and Terrell Owens of the world. _________________

Celebrity Jeopardy is consistently hysterical, ridiculous that they didn't do it when Ferrell hosted last season.
On topic, I've given in. Marty B deserves credit for what he's done this year. Still can't grasp why he couldn't do jack in Dallas, still blaming him over Romo and Garrett. _________________

I blame Witten. There's no way he puts up these numbers in Dallas. No way. Sure he botched some opportunities, but he didn't have near the looks he is getting now.
2012:
Jason Witten 82rec. 710yds. 1TD
MartyB 39rec. 455yds. 3TDs
Witten has 43 more receptions than MartyB has, which is 4 more receptions than MartyB has. He's doing better in NY sure, but lets not act like he is preforming like a hall of famer over there. _________________

He has been better than anything the Giants could have honestly hoped for. Marty was a bust for us, and I don't think anyone could argue that point. It wasn't a lack of opportunities - if was a lack of effort. If he had produced like he should have - we would be running the ACE formation effectively before the Patriots popularized it.
He failed. He would drop critical passes. He lacked a desire to put any effort in plays - which ended up being costly. He was sloppy and lazy. Hell of a blocker though.
Good riddance to bad rubbish. His career, however, has taken an upturn. _________________

I can agree to that. The "upturn," though, is still nothing to write home about. We thought he was going to be a super star, he performed like a bum, and now he has turned himself into a bona fide below average tight end. Congratulations. I mean everyone is talking trash on Jermichael Finleys season, but he is putting up about the same numbers. I think he(MartyB) is probably about the 20th best starting TE in the league, and yes I will name all 19 ahead of him if provoked. _________________
