My idea for this thread is for anyone to suggest a player we should draft, not just in round 1, and why. I'll start with someone I think could be a difference maker.
Denard Robinson, Michigan
Not to play QB, of course. I'm not sure I've seen many players who move better in the open field. I envision lining him up all over the field, wideout, slot, in the back field, etc. He could also return kicks for us. Think Brad Smith, Randall Cobb, or Julian Edelman. I'd be thrilled if we could get him in round 3. _________________

DeAndre Hopkins was my guy. However, it's become fairly obvious to everyone else now that he's good. I've seen mocks with him going in the 1st round, even before Woods out of USC.
Ultimately, I think it will be a moot point with Hopkins though because he's more likely to stay at Clemson for another year because with a returning O-line that's doing a good job, a QB (Boyd) who won't win but will probably attend the Heisman Awards Ceremony, Sammy Watkins @ WR on the other side and one of the best Offensive Coordinators in the country still in his corner it's hard not to imagine anything but success for an offensive weapon like him. He and Watkins could both be Top-20 picks next year.
That said, I'm look more at these DE prospects. I think Ansah is too raw and while JPP burst onto the scene once drafted, I don't see Ansah doing nearly as much damage. I think that's a huge projection.
Carradine at FSU I think would be the smart move for us. We're looking for a pass rush specialist to play RDE and that's exactly what he's been at FSU. The idea with getting a guy in the 2nd round is that it would allow us to draft Allen, Hunter or Woods in the 1st round where we desperately need to find the best available receiving target.
Sadly, I've seen some mocks with Carradine disappearing off the board in the final picks of the 1st round.
If we could come away with a 1st round WR and then Carradine in the 2nd, I'd be stoked. That would leave us the ability to take a Guard, possibly Uzzi, with the Colts 2nd rounder or even with our 3rd rounder.
Tavon Austin is also a guy I'm curious about. If we could come away with Austin as a 2nd WR I'd be elated. My dream would be Woods, Carradine, Austin & Uzzi all in the 1st 4 picks. We might even be able to trade back to "settle" for Woods since it looks like Allen and Hunter are going to go above him.
Since we're looking to pick around #10, we could trade back just a little and take Woods around #20 and then trade back up to make sure we got Carradine before he disappeared off the board. We trade down, then we trade back up! We wouldn't lose a thing yet we'd come away with a top WR and a top DE prospect! That's my dream scenario right now. |

Draft day, I'd love to get WR Terrence Williams, Baylor in the first. The guy is perfect for our system here in Miami. I normally don't like the idea of a receiver in the first but we need an impact player on our offense somewhere and I think he's gonna be a top 10 receiver down the road. _________________

| Not through the draft but wouldnt mind seeing osi umenioura (sp) with us next year, not entirely convinced about some of the "top rated" DE's in this class & allows us to go corner or WR in round 1 |

As for a FA, I'd like to see Louis Delmas in a Dolphins uni. He's a Miami guy, too. So maybe there's a shot?..
As for the draft, if we picked up Joe Fauria or Zach Ertz in the 2nd, I'd be thrilled. |

FA... OG.. Andy Levitre
Draft 1st rd.. DE.. Bjoern Werner... Just look at the Fla game.. right place right time.. FR (although ball never hit ground) sacks.. plays run well..
another guy I like is West Virginia WR .. Stedman Bailey only 5'10" 193 but quick.. fast.. good hands..
if we went... Werner... Robert Woods.. Dallas Thomas ( OG from Tenn. 6'5" 310 ) and Bailey in 3rd
at LB I like Gerald Hodges Penn St 6'3" 238...
Jonathon Brown Ill. 6'1" 235
Kevin Reddick NC 6'3" 235 |

FA Fred Davis from the Redskins. The guy is coming off an ACL injury so his value shouldn't be that high. Could give us a stop gap to continue developing Clay and Egnew if we don't want to use a high pick on Eifert.
Andy Levitre should be a legitimate target too but I love the depth on the oline in this draft. Talented starters could easily be had in the 3rd. _________________

Jonathan Cooper, UNC for me he is a perfect fit for the system and he is legit. I hope we go DE in the first but someone like Mingo since he started to slide already. I doubt that last but hey its wishful thinking let me dream a lil.
Cordarrelle Patterson, WR, Tennessee 2nd or third I just like his skill set and he is tough any playmakers we can get our Hands on |
