I don't know what's more hilarious - JetsInsider the last two nights or Fox News on election night. Leaning toward the latter. _________________

Fox was fine on election night. Megyn Kelly's "Is that math you tell yourself as a Republican to make yourself feel better" was by far the most awesome line delivered by any individual from any station that night. Rove's point -that FLA and VA had not been called yet for the same reasons & Ohio should be handled similarly - wasn't even unreasonable, though Fox still dumped all over him. _________________

Hadn't laughed that hard in a long time. Could not believe she actually said that. _________________

Depends. O had lead FLA all night, and the only remaining votes were from Miami dade = the state was going O, but the networks would not call it. Mittens had lead Virginia all night, and the only remaining vote were expected to be split (ended up almost entirely going for O). State remained uncalled. Ohio was pretty much the same deal. Using those precedents, they should not have called Ohio when they did. It was tight, 25% of the votes out, etc. If one wants to argue that they should have called FLA and VA earlier, as they called Ohio, I wouldn't disagree.
But Rove's point was basically "We havent called FLA and VA for reasons X Y and Z. Reasons X Y and Z all apply to Ohio, so I don't know why we are calling it just yet". He never at any moment said O would not win the state, he just said he felt it too early to project, ala FLA and VA.
Frankly, I think FLA should have been called in the 70%'s when it was clear Miami Dade compromised 10% of the remaining vote & O's lead would only grow with more results. I agreed with calling Ohio, when it was clear the Cleveland area held the most remaining votes, and O'd lead would only widen.
But Rove's reasoning was fine. It was the same thought process behind them not calling FLA and VA. Maybe it was the thought process that was flawed, but then Rove was really just pointing out the inconsistency in the calls. _________________

Not going to get into it further here, as politics is a no-no but much of what you just said is demonstrably and factually incorrect. |

Maybe NBT just had to many cocktails at Mittens celebration... :-&
Just kidding. But that was my interpretation of it when watching, Ohio seemed like the odd swing state out in terms of how early it was called.
If you want real comedy...Hannity the following night. _________________

You take the Sanchez butt fumble td and the Jules fumble return td, still amazing to score 21 pts in less than 3 mins. _________________

Yep, they only ran 6 offensive plays.
The first is a gimme, since it was the TD to Welker to cap the drive from the 1st quarter.
The 2nd was all on Bart Scott being old and slow and letting Vereen get way free.
The 3rd was that 4 play drive that ended with Edelman getting the 50 yard dagger over Laron Landry(?). |

Young Bart Scott wouldn't have gotten there either. _________________

I think the biggest take away from the Hernandez and now Gronk injuries is how the team treats "TE" position. Hernandez is decidedly more of a multi-threat WR, where as Gronk is an actual TE. So we're still using multi TE sets with Gronk out and it was a minority with Hernandez out.
It's not much different than people's perception of the players. _________________
