I wouldnt pair him up with WR #1/#2, but at S or slot he will still produce for us. His legs will be nice and fresh for the playoff run and we can use the leadership. | There are some slots I don't really want him against but I get your point.
I wouldn't try ranking all the db's but the young guys have playing exceptionally well, I think they're all closer then you think. _________________

Most teams run a Nickel more than 50% of the time. The 3-3 isn't something mystical. A lot of teams just want to get their best pass rushers on the field regardless of who that is. |
FWIW iirc Packers + Giants ran nickle above or around 70% of the time in 2010. |
Worked out well in 2011 too.. _________________

Are we still convinced Woodson isn't an upgrade? _________________

Anyone who doesn't think Woodson is an upgrade just lacks football knowledge. We need both Wood and Shields back on the field. They've picked good games to miss. It honestly wasn't all that easy getting past teams like Arizona, Jacksonville and Detroit. Those are last place teams. I was even worried about the Detroit game all week leading up to it.
Playoff teams are going to attack the weakness of a defense. Davon House and Jerron McMillan are very promising players and likely have a big future with the Packers. However, replace those guys with Woodson and Shields and the Packers are undoubtedly a better secondary. Eli Manning picked on those guys all night long. |

I'm not. He's a great turnover machine, but he's been a bit penalty prone and succeptible to the big plays. He might be a short term upgrade, but the extended playing time for Davon House and Casey Heyward is IMO a much more important factor moving forward. If Charles Woodson doesn't take a paycut, I think this could be his last year in Green Bay. _________________

My opinion Woodson Comes back and takes the safety
He is a big upgrade over what we got back there
And in Dime takes the slot with Hayward if liked
Right now I see House, Hayward, Williams, Burnett And Woodson
as the best combo In Nickel |

I agree. Keep Hayward as the slot corner in Nickel. Woodson at safety. Dime we see McMillian or Dr Jennings while Wood covers the other slot. _________________

Woodson is still a great football player. He's not a great or might not even be a good CB anymore but his football IQ and leadership is something we have missed on the field. He'll play more S then he was because of the elite Play of Hay and promising play of House. But he will be a main player on our defense when healthy. No doubt about it. _________________
