Does anyone else get the feeling that Shad really is going to be the next Robert Kraft?
Buy struggling team - check
End speculation of team moving - check
Immediately turn around team's financial situation - check
Begin putting the right pieces in place in the front office to create a winner - check?
Next up - Sign next future Hall of Fame coach and eventually draft late round Hall of Fame QB.
Obviously ambitious thinking on my part... but still. _________________

I was suppressing those feelings because I don't want to get too excited yet. But, there is a very good feeling about the direction the Jags are heading. _________________

For anybody not following too closely right now, the names being thrown around at this point for the head coaching job [listed alphabetically] are:
Keith Armstrong (Special Teams Coordinator, Atlanta)
Vic Fangio (Defensive Coordinator, San Francisco)
Jay Gruden (Offensive Coordinator, Cincinnati)
Mike Nolan (Defensive Coordinator, Atlanta)
Greg Roman (Offensive Coordinator, San Francisco)
Brian Schottenheimer (Offensive Coordinator, St. Louis)
Jim Tomsula (Defensive Line Coach, San Francisco)
Mel Tucker (Defensive Coordinator, Jacksonville) _________________

Fine with any of them except these 3. _________________

I will have a big fat angry cow, if they even seriously interview Mel Tucker for the job.
Seriously.
Mike Nolan wouldn't bother me hugely though. |

Tucker has already interviewed. I think.
Maybe Rooney rule. Which, in all honesty, makes me just as angry. _________________

Whatever the case.
That's idiotic. Dismiss Mularkey because it's time for a 'fresh start'...then interview a guy who has been with the Jaguars for a lot longer because...why?
He didn't even do good job getting the defense together this year, and obviously the talent on the field plays into that...but really? I didn't like Tucker as a HC candidate last year, and like him even less this time around.
At least Nolan has managed to coach some very respectable defenses. |

Rumor is Chud wants Tucker in Cleveland to be their DC. _________________

I know he is rumored, but Vic Fangio has come out and said he doesn't want to be a Head Coach.
Watch out for Armstrong, I fully expect him here in some capacity, oh yeah, and some viewed him as a Rooney ruler for all openings...Kansas City, Chicago, Cleveland now us will all interview him this year. --- Could also come in as Defensive Coordinator.
Outside of Greg Roman, I do not know whom the rest would bring in as coordinators, etc. _________________

Its not, he is still a great mind whom should have left last year, but we are also interviewing Keith Armstrong, so no "just for Rooney rulers" _________________
