It's been an eternity since I've had the time to go on here or even watch a Jaguars game (not that those are fun to watch), but man this offseason is gonna be fun...
Would I be alone in saying that David Caldwell is a good GM candidate? He seems to have a solid pedigree in Indy and Atlanta. |

I'm kind of surprised to read the reports that he doesn't like Mularkey considering they worked pretty successfully in Atlanta, but I guess being on the inside makes a crapton of difference. Not sure what to make of San Fran's Greg Roman though. |

Supposedly he wanted to fire Mularkey before we hired him.
I think Roman has had a huge hand in the success of the SF offense the past two years. Plus, I like the Harbaugh connection - I think the staff he assembled at SF (and Stanford, but that seems redundant as a handful of them were on his staff at Stanford) is a fantastic mix of guys.

David Caldwell
That's my list right now based on what I know. However, whoever we hire will be a good hire. I trust Khan and the work he's put into this. I'm sure he will get his guy and that's what matters the most. It's really hard to judge these guys. All we can look at is a team's performance/draft and the correlation with these various people's tenures with various teams. Khan has so much more info and I really believe that he will make the best decision for this franchise.

Anyone else feel as if we need to hurry and make a decision? I don't want to rush it but we are loosing time not only with the GM but in the coach hunt also if they decide to can Murlarkey.

Not worried at all. Caldwell and Keim aren't going to sign anywhere before finding out what Shad is willing to offer them, and both of these guys are supposed to be bringing along coaches that are in the playoffs at least until next week. So even if we were to sign one of them right now, they will have between a week and a month before they can even start to really put together their staff.
Patience and making sure we get the right guy is the most important thing right now.

You're assuming Caldwell gets the job and he grabs their OC? I'm actually hoping more for Keim and Ray Horton.
