According to the Sacramento Bee's Matt Barrows, all signs -- "at least for now" -- point to Colin Kaepernick starting at New Orleans in Week 12.
Alex Smith (concussion) is still awaiting clearance from doctors on a shorter than normal work week. "I'm kind of in the middle of it," Smith acknowledged on his concussion protocol. Coach Jim Harbaugh clearly left the door open to keep riding Kaepernick's hot hand after Monday night's masterful performance. Harbaugh is due to address the media at 7:30 p.m. ET.
I am just a bit nervous about this only because we are playing a red hot Saints team on the road but if we are able to pound the ball then everything should be fine. _________________

Yeah, I know... especially Carlos. It seems like every time "we" lose, it's "him" that's getting burned all game long. |

How would you guys rank Alex Smith's performances this year? I'd rank them as
1. Bills
2. Cardinals
3. Packers
4. Lions
5. Vikings
6. Jets
7. Seahawks
8. Giants _________________

Agreed, with a clear separation from 1-4 and 5-8. Although I'd put jets at 5, Vikings at 6 _________________ -Not taking this off until the 49ers win #6 |

I hope that happens, but those "signs" also pointed to Alex Smith starting last week. You never know with the 49ers. _________________

Told that Jim Harbaugh's cancelled conference call was due to a scheduling snafu not any health emergency. All is well. |

well thats good to hear, because i was just watching chronicle live and they were thinking it was a medical issue. Apparently not a lot coming out of 4949 Centennial right now. I would expect it to be a quiet week with a sudden boom. _________________ San Francisco 49ers 2013 Retirement Tour;

The Alex era looks to be over shortly. _________________

I've also noticed there has been direct been a direct link between us coming out flat and goldson committing a stupid penalty...kicking the ball, slapping an opposing player, etc...speaking of which, totally random, but did anybody see Brandon Marshall slap goldson in the face mask while he was getting pushed out of bounds yesterday? _________________
