If PFF sees crappy run blocking on tape then the Bears coaches will probably see it as well.
What would PFFs agenda against Brandon Myers be? _________________

What would PFFs agenda against Brandon Myers be? | pff is basically a group of guys like u and me. They present their rankings and opinions as gospel and claim its objectivity. Its far from it _________________

But I can assess crappy run blocking if I have coaches tape.
I would be interested in the metric they use for the grades, but maybe Myers is not a great run blocker? _________________

Yes, this is the major problem with them I think. Also, they don't use the all-22 coaches film for deadline reasons, but instead just grade everything based on the TV broadcast. I think certain stats they create are useful when they are less subjective (like drop rate, for example), but I don't take their player grades seriously and I doubt NFL scouts do either. I think if NFL scouts (and Phil) look at PFF it's for some of the stats. |

| Now that Knox is gone I'm really hoping the Chargers don't want to pay Eddie Royal all that money. He'd be a really nice pickup. |

One strategy that I have been thinking about is to make a push for a more expensive free agent and not using free agency to fill out depth positions but instead trading down in the draft.
I had this in my last mock with a 2nd round trade down to get depth picks in the 4th or 5th round.
Free Agency
OG Louis Vasquez 5 years 32.5 million/15 guaranteed
QB Whoever
Draft
1[20] OT D.J Fluker [Alabama]
*Trade Down and get a 4th and 6th.
2[60] LB Gerald Hodges [Penn State]
4. TE Jordan Reed [Florida]
4. C Brian Schwenke [Cal]
5. CB Sheldon Price [UCLA]
6. WR Lanear Sampson [Baylor]
6. TE Michael Williams [Alabama]
We fill all our depth picks with cheap draft picks and we focus our free agent budget on a single upgrade on the OL. _________________

There have new reports that he is looking for 6 million a year I added a little because there will be bidding.
If the elite OGs are getting 8-9 I think Vasquez is a 6 million guy, he has been very good for the Chargers. _________________

If Albert is fully healthy he should be our top target in FA. |

Rappaport made it seem like the Chiefs were working to re-sign him and the physical was the first part. _________________

I am wondering what your guys honest opinions are about a guy like Albert.
If Albert is going to make 8-9 million a season can the Bears afford him? _________________
