Hard to decide between Kaep and Aldon Smith.

Leaning towards Kaep since this was his first start and it was under the bright lights.

Kaepernick no question with Aldon coming second. Kaep blew my expectations tonight against one of the best defense in the league. He definitively deserves the game ball.

I mean you would think it would be Kaep, but Aldon Smith makes one heck of a case with 5 sacks and two FFs Laughing .

Kaep gets the game ball first. Aldon is second. The offensive line third (major props to them tonight; a lot of clean pockets for kaep to work with tonight). Justin Smith and VD get honorable mentions.

Gotta go with Kap, but the Smith brothers played out of their minds tonight.

Yeah it's pretty tuff choice, but the circumstances that Kaepernick was put in gives him the edge imo.

I can't decide.

Kap because what he did in his first start against a great d.
Aldon for just tearing apart the bears tackles.
Justin smith for just pushing around the entire line. Wrecking havoc against the run and pass.

Can't decide.

Well, does it help Aldon's case a little more that officially he got rewarded for 5.5 sacks Laughing .

But yeah, Kaepernick stole the show!

Aldon Smith just had the most dominating pass rushing performance by a 49er I've seen.

Kaep had an amazing 1st start against what is arguably the best D in the league.... Tie

Wow...just wow.

I voted for Aldon Smith...I think I regret doing so. It was so tough to decide, as both were on fire early, and both finished so incredibly well. In the end - 5.5 sacks is just a ridiculous number. Add in 2 forced fumbles, one that resulted in a safety...I just had to vote for Aldon.

But great game from Kaepernick. Threw perfect passes, had a couple drops count against him (what else is new with this team?), made great decisions, held onto the ball, moved through his progressions...kinda seemed to tail off a tad, but the lead was insurmountable, so hard to tell.

Either way - very happy tonight.

And Bowman...gets the underrated performance award. Such a perfect performance.

Bowman and Willis were lights out once again. Justin Smith was bringing pressure up the middle all game and did great against the run.

5.5 sacks is just amazing though. I still haven't voted and may not Laughing .

Relative to expectations Kap should get a lot of consideration. But this really, can't be much of a competition. Aldon set a record for Monday night football sacks and was a half short of the team record. We could go decades without seeing another game like that. Historically good!

Aldon was our best player. Justin was insane. Willis and Bowman were both playing on the top of their games.

But given the circumstance - it has to be Kaepernick. Not even close, tbh, which is saying a lot, since we had so many players show up BIG.
