It is going to be interesting to see who gets more playing time, Moreno or Ball. I would imagine it would be Ball, but Moreno will get some touches. He is playing for his job, so it will be interesting to see how he does.
Hillman is change of pace back, I don't think his touches will change.
Make no mistake, this does hurt our offense. Willis vision and pace is by far the best on the team. I don't any of the other backs will be picking up the type of yardage he did unless there are obvious holes/running lanes. _________________ Broncos GDT '12/'11 | jonnyj20 wrote: | | broncosfan07 wrote: | | Not having 20 pages of Dumbledore's Army go ballistic kind of helps | It wouldn't have been long until the Tebowites started calling Non-Tebow loving Bronco fans 'Mudbloods' |

When he was with the Chargers he played mostly FB and he did an 'ok' job at blocking, ran the ball a few times and caught a few passes..nothing great really. He did well on special teams though. _________________

We should have drafted Doug Martin... but regardless, I think we'll be ok. Willis does a much better job of getting through traffic, but that isn't Hillman's forte. I mean Hillman weighs more than CJ, so size isn't the big problem, it's want-to. I think Fox's decision to deactivate Moreno was partly to get him healthy. If the Broncos saw nothing in him, he would have been cut. I actually think Moreno can be decent, and this is likely his last chance. _________________

Not because he wasn't healthy. _________________

He had actually been ok in pass protection in the past... Regardless, he's fully healthy now, and it would be wise to use all 3 backs. _________________

Great activate him, doesn't mean he'll be used other than maybe 5 plays. People keep having this hope that this time Moreno will take advantage of his chance. Yeah except for the part that every time he is given the chance he fumbles or gets Manning blown up. _________________

And that is why he's not been playing.
The fact that he fumbles about every 30 touches is bad but tolerable. The fact that he fans about 1 time in 5 in pass pro is unforgivable. |

Moreno has gotten every chance to succeed and failed continuously _________________

We will be fine with whichever RB as long as he plays one cut. I'm fine with Hillman picking one hole and go for it. Dancing in the backfield is a no no
However, Moreno is a better pass protecter than Hillman. |

I'm confused on these rules they're mentioning.
| Quote: | | In a procedural move, the Broncos released running back Jeremiah Johnson from their practice squad Friday with the plan of re-signing him back early next week. |
| Quote: | Because Johnson has three years of NFL service, the Broncos had to either promote Johnson from the practice squad to fill the vacated spot on the 53-man roster or release him.

He has 9 fumbles in his career on 551 touches. One fumble every 61.2 attempts.
He is actually a damn fine pass protecting back, as good as any on our team. Yes he had a bad couple plays in pass pro early this season, it happens to the best of them. |

And people here thought McGahee was a fumbler
He fumbles one in every 84 touches and people think that's awful.
Go back and watch Moreno play and watch him nearly get Manning killed. Shocked people still defend this useless bust. _________________
