Name: Alex

Favorite 2012 Draft Prospect: Luke Joeckel, Star

Preference for Offense or Defense: Defence wins Championships baby!

Ideal current NFL coach (specific name or describe type): Defensive minded, hard-nosed, tough coach.

Ideal coach for the Eagles (specific name or describe type): Similar to above, let's guy a defensive minded guy. Winston Moss, Perry Fewell, Ray Horton

What is the most important position in football: QB

What is the most important position of improvement on the Eagles: Safety - good safety play makes the whole D better and obviously the OL.

On a scale of 1 to 5, how much control should the head coach have in football decisions: 3 and at most a 4. Preferably our GM would be a 'football guy' who can evaluate talent and make the big decisions.

What do you look for in draft prospects: Prototypes baby! Also no more smaller guys, look at the Bears or Steelers they're just huge guys on D! And less focus on character, if the talent is there we should take that guy regardless of their past.

What do you look for in prospective coaches: Someone who can make a game play to suit the talent on the roster and make in game adjustments for the love of god!

On a scale of 1 to 5, how aggressive will you be in free agency: 1.5. After what's happened the last few years it's clearly bringing in guys externally to build around doesn't work. FA should be used only to fill a few holes.

On a scale of 1 to 5, how aggressive will you be in trading for draft picks: 3. This is a tough one, I like the way a team like the Giants just have their 7 picks most years but also if there's an elite prospect like Julio Jones then I think you have to take a chance.

What makes you qualified to lead reconstruction: I will answer this question with a question.

How many NFC Championships games did we go to with Sav Rocca? 1. How many without Sav Rocca? 0.

It is clear from this that Australians are the key to success.

***End of Application***

Aussie man. Want to pair up with me?

Sure bud, let's do this!

Awesome. I don't know what is supposed to happen now, but lets do this!

I want to partner with PE... together we will make the Eagles the most dangerous team after the catch.

First and most importantly we need a clever team name, thoughts?

I was thinking: Team o'Land Down-Under.

I think it wakes sense for us to come up with a consistent starting point, for record and draft pick. Basically we go off the same sim all the way til Black Monday when Andy is Fired.

It makes it easier to compare what each team does and makes it more realistic because we really don't have a great shot at 1st or 2nd overall....which effects who we can get, but obviously you could trade up if you felt the need.

Right now we are 6th overall, but that will change. I took a swing at what will happen with the five teams above us. We finish at 4-12 and the 3rd overall pick. With all the mediocre to bad teams we play the rest of the way our Strength of Schedule will be the lowest so we go above the Browns and Panthers. If the Jags play like they did against Houston and we lose all the game we could get #2 but felt this was more realistic.

Here, I have nothing to do on a Tuesday night, so I did the liberty of finishing all 32 teams. Week 12 is a good week to keep the freeze on this draft order. I didn't do any of the mid-round tiebreakers, so if someone wanted to change that, be my guest. I also just seeded the playoff teams according to the Home team winning every game instead of making any actual predictions. Feel free to comment on any changes or mistakes I made.

Anyways, here how the playoff seeds would look under that situation:

NFC:
1) Atlanta Falcons (12-4)
2) Seattle Seahawks (11-5)
3) Green Bay Packers (11-5)
4) New York Giants (9-7)
5) New Orleans Saints (11-5)
6) Chicago Bears (11-5)

Just missed: San Francisco 49ers (10-5-1)

AFC:
1) Houston Texans (14-2)
2) Denver Broncos (13-3)
3) Baltimore Ravens (12-4)
4) New England Patriots (12-4)
5) Pittsburgh Steelers (10-6)
6) Indianapolis Colts (9-7)

Just missed: Cincinnati Bengals (9-7)

Wouldn't it be easier to wait at least until the playoffs so the majority of the draft order is set instead of guessing? What's the purpose of creating mocks to be judged now if all of the aspects of the draft order could change for the Eagles and the top 20 picks in the next 6 weeks? I understand everyone wanting to be the first to say................. but is this going to be another Mock Draft thread/contest where teams can make 15 different versions/adaptations to be judged in the next 5 months? Entries/guidelines shouldn't start until the playoffs.

True...but we can get the coaching staff, cuts/extensions, and free agents done before then.

IMO, just from skimming the inital list, there needs to be a few players 'bolded':

WR - Victor Cruz
OT - Brandon Albert
OT - Andre Smith

If you're taking Jake Long off the automatic-resign list, then you better believe Brandon Albert & Andre Smith aren't going anywhere.

Cruz will want top money, thus I didn't make him resign. Albert will want out of KC, Smith, I can see.

I can spin that into an ownership controversy. Make sure you buy the Mirror today.
