If the team can win a lot of games with him at quarterback, why couldn't they win the superbowl? Hell, Eli Manning's team has won 2 super bowls. If Eli can, most quarterbacks can. You just need the right team, the right scenario, and the right luck.

Yeah definitely. With that defense, and solid running game he is great. He's more than just a game manager, and Houston could probably get by with only a game manager.

| I dont see Houston making it to the superbowl this year but that isnt to say its not because of Matt Schaub. I think he is a fine QB, one who is capable of leading Houston to the super bowl. |

| I think he can. He is an above-average QB and has a strong team built around him. I think he has the best shot right now of the ringless QBs. |

People seem to have forgotten recently that Matt Schaub won a passing title only a few years ago, back when the Texans running game was nonexistent, the defense hemorrhaged yards and points, and everything depending on Schaub's passing abilities. Those two factors of the Texans' game have improved dramatically over the last couple of years with Foster and Wade Phillips, and so Matt doesn't have to do nearly as much as he used to. But as he showed today, when the situation calls for it, he can throw the ball as well as anyone.

Today's game hearkened back to that season quite eerily.
Matt Schaub is perfectly capable of putting up the same gaudy numbers as Manning, Rodgers, Brady, Brees, and whoever else you want to throw in that group. The problem is, if he's doing that, the Texans are not playing the game the way they want to or the way their team is designed to play.
