Texans game was a fluke. Henne started that game like 12/14 or some [inappropriate/removed] and wound up 16/33. He didn't play great through the entire game like some believe. |
I watched the game on Sunday ticket. The play calling was terrible also in addition to Henne's terrible throws and decision making in the 2nd half and OT. Why would you continue to run the ball when there was no running lanes and throw short underneath throws that were getting batted down by Smith, Barwin & Watt? Quinn was getting killed by Blackmon all day, throw the ball deep. I threw up in my mouth pulling for Jville. _________________

What about the entire team blowing it vs Minnesota and Chicago?
Blaming 1 game for the season when we have 6 losses is pretty silly. |
Not really bc all those games were blowouts. We had this game and the refs screwed us. Yea we've sucked but the Colts game was 1 of the worst officiated games I've ever seen. |
The game should of never came down to the refs if Bironas doesnt miss a short FG or if Hass doesnt over throw Cook the refs shouldnt matter |
The refs can easily change the outcome of a game so they do matter. Yes we didn't play great but 3 OPI's and the non-fumble call were terrible. |
On one of those OPIs we still ended the drive with Wrights TD. I refuse to blame the refs no matter how bad the call was especially since Bironas was not a sure thing to hit that kick since he missed earlier in the game from about the dame distance. If Bironas hits the kick earlier in the game the Colts lose plain an simple. Blame the players on the field blame Hass for not getting TDs and forcing us to settle for 3 an blame him for over throwing Cook dont blame the refs thats too easy and a cheap way to feel better about why we lost _________________

The kicker, QB, and defense did enough to win if the refs had done their job competently. You shouldn't have to make up for bad officiating. _________________

So its the refs fault Bironas missed the kick? Is it the refs fault Hass over threw Cook to win the game? You cant blame the refs eapecially since if the Titans had gotten the fumble the game was tied an Bironas wasnt a lock to hit the FG _________________

To be fair in that regard, Bironas has never missed a kick with the game on the line.
That said, a lot of things other than the refs contributed to the loss.
Edit: There was the Green Bay game in 08, but he hit the game winner in OT anyway, so it evens out. |

Too many things factored into that loss to just pinpoint one issue. I'm not gonna blame the game on Hasselbeck for overthrowing Cook, or Bironas for missing a FG. Shiznit happens. They do factor in, but they're not the sole reasons we lost. Add in the fact that the refs made several bad calls in that game. The first OPI was legit, but the others were pure BS. The second call on Britt took a TD off the board, and the one against Wright helped kill a drive. The missed fumble call late in the game and that call against Ayers (hands to the face) were awful. And let's not forget about our "can't stop a nose-bleed" defense. No, the refs didn't completely cost us that game, but they do get a very healthy portion of the blame. Yes, that loss hurts, but so does every other loss IMO. Refs or no refs, we win as a team, we lose as a team. _________________ Wedding Vow: I promise I will love you until the day you really p-ss me off. |

Wright scored the next play after Britts OPI so who cares blaming the refs an not the team is a losers mentaility your team lost to thw Colts you can justify it any way you need to to make yourselves feel better but the Titans still have a chance you wont have the refs to blame if they lose to anyone the rest of the way _________________

It is not a loser's mentality to think that we would have most likely won the game if the ref's called the fumble correctly. _________________

Its losers mentality when your focusing on the refs when your not blaming your kicker for missing a short FG or your QB over throwing a wide open TE or defense for give up a bunch of 3rd and longs _________________

As I stated before, there were too many things that factored into the loss. Meaning: it's on both the refs AND the team. And I never put the blame squarely on the refs like many people do, and I'm not doing it now. We did hurt ourselves by not executing on some opportunities, nobody's denying that. But the fact is the refs did make some bad calls and non-calls in crucial parts of the game which turned out to be costly for us.
Now mix all of those ingredients in a bowl, put it in the oven to bake for 3½ hours, and you get a nice double layer 19-13 OT loss to the Colts. _________________ Wedding Vow: I promise I will love you until the day you really p-ss me off. |

Well like i said what ever makes you feel better for your team sucking on that day an only putting up 13 points to the bleeping Colts and Bironas missing AGAIN and Hass over throwing a wide open receiver AGAIN and the defense giving up a million 3rd and longs AGAIN _________________

But you see, even though all of that is true (besides the loser's mentality part) we still put ourselves in a position to win and the ref's took it away from us. It's a stone cold fact.
Deal with it. _________________

Do you believe it is at all possible for the refs to affect the outcome of a game? _________________
