Lynch and Wilson are tearing it up early in this one...
I would be pleased if we make the playoffs, but I just have this feeling that we won't catch a break... when has that ever happened for the Vikings? _________________ 2013 Adopt a Minnesota Viking - Xavier Rhodes - CB - #29

a team makes its own breaks. if we had beat the Seahawks, they'd be the ones worried.
it's still a forward moving year for us. not everything is gauged by the playoffs when you're a rebuilding team. _________________

Agreed. Playoffs are the icing on the cake for what most should consider a better than expected 2nd year into the rebuild. |

Did you really expect The Seahawks (possibly the NFL team currently playing the best football on both sides of the ball) to lose BOTH their remaining games?
That was NEVER a possibility).
The Vikings have their destiny in their own hands. They are healthy (other than Harvin being out). They'll be playing at home. They are very confident coming off a convincing road win against one of The NFL's best teams. Ponder played well and had some rapport with his receivers. And Green Bay's defence has holes in it. The Vikings NEED to win to get into the playoffs. Green Bay doesn't need to win nearly as much (only a POSSIBLE (minor) seeding difference.
The Vikings should probably be favoured in this game by one point by the oddsmakers. They certainly have a realistic chance of winning it. I'll be disappointed if they don't. _________________ http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/9633/av5e.jpg |

Sounds about right. The ratings should be through the roof. |

I figured they would be. Dallas is one step behind the Jets as the media's favorite team, and RGIII is the media's golden player.
I was just hoping that the rivalry that is MIN/GB, and the potential to set the single season rushing record would be enough to get Minnesota on Sunday Night. However, this team never seems to play all that well in prime time games, so maybe a noon game is best. _________________

Marquee players have something to do with it, but it's also the only game in week 17 where the division is literally being played for.

The winner of DAL/WAS wins the division, which makes the primetime flex a no brainer _________________

Seattle won, so that is out. But The Vikings will need to win their game to make the playoffs, Green Bay will only need the win for slightly better seeding. So, The Vikings will be home and have more reason to win. I smell a victory, or, at least, a very competitive game and a good showing. _________________ http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/9633/av5e.jpg |

So if the Vikes lose than we need NYG, CHI, & DAL to lose? _________________
