| I'm not worried about our offense at all. Our defense needs to step up, though. |

Are there any good blocking TEs available?
It's too bad Ballard is out for the year. He could've stepped in and been a huge help in this situation. _________________

They're basically going to have to use the 2007 offense now, using Welker, Lloyd, Edelman, Hernandez, and an RB on most snaps. _________________ Shut up, NBT |

| 4 to 6 is survivable. He just has to be healthy come playoff time. |

Huge loss for the run game. And our red zone offense.
Sucks. Hopefully the break isn't severe. The guy isn't human, who knows how long this will keep him out. _________________

Not really

If Ballard weren't out for the year, chances are he wouldn't be on the roster at all so it's a bit of a moot point. |

Too bad there is no Randy Moss or Donte Stallworth or Jabarbar Gaffney. If they wanna sign T.O. and use him in the Moss -90% vertical routes role, then maybe.
McDaniels is going to have to do something new. I do not see much reason think Lloyd is going to become some 10 catch/150 yad.2-3 td type of threat. He is not even as good as Deion Branch was in 2010.
Gronk was easily our most talented receiving weapon. If we want to go 2007, we need to bring something new, because we do not have it currently on the roster.
Terrell Owens - 6'4, runs a 4.43, built like a monster, and he is hungrier than he has ever been. He would go ham on every single play. He'd be have here, and would scare defenses 10x more than Brandon Lloyd. Owens and Lloyd as receivers balance off each other very well. Tzismice criticizing Lloyd for never taking a hut wold never have to worry about that one.
It is so crazy it just might work... _________________

I saw that play (few mins ago), He didn't break it then. He barely blocked the player who didn't bother to rush the kicker. |
Why is he blocking on field goals? |

I am really not joking about the idea. Do you really think our team is worse with T.O. than currently? _________________

Edelman, Welker and Hernandez is pretty close to - or better - than Gaffney, Stallworth and Welker in 2007. Edelman is a bit worse than Gaffney but Hernandez (if healthy) is definitely better than Stallworth.
Of course Lloyd isn't on Moss's 2007 level but the 2007 team also had a worse running game and the Pats RB's should be able to pick up some of the slack |

Also, I think we'll see more of Cannon as a 6th OL now. The Pats have had success both running and passing with 6 OLs before. _________________ Shut up, NBT |

A bunch of times, and he did it against double/triple teams to boot.
The point is that one either does that, or they act as a decoy and move the coverage. Lloyd does neither dictate coverage nor consistently beat single coverage, and thats the key. They won't add more coverage to him to help out others until he beats it - which i dont think he can.
I don't envision Lloyd becoming this force of a wide receiver, and the rest won't be doing it alone. If this teams wishes to go back to 2007 style of play, they will need out bring in someone new. No way around that. _________________
