If anyone has ever gone to a game and spent significant money just to have an obnoxious fan stand up all game and dance around with a stupid sign that you cant see over, its annoying and ruins the experience for other fans. Basically, security should be able to take away signs if its clearly ruining the experience for other fans. I dont think the message really matters. |
Some signs relay an important message

This. |
You have to pay for season tickets in advance. Would you be able to throw away that much money? Selling them wouldn't be a boycott, since somebody is in your seat. |
What percentage of tickets are season tickets? _________________

Am I the only one that finds this disturbing? In your opinion, what crosses the line when fans show their discontent at the games? Does a sign saying fire (blank) constitute ejection from a game? How do you view the right of free speech at NFL games?
And most importantly, what if the de-bag the baguars?! |
The right of free speech applies to relationship with the government, for whatever reason, people often confuse it to apply to other sectors of our lives. It doesnt apply here. If stadium security wants to kick fans out for expressing negative opinions and signs towards the team, there is probably nothing stopping them in reality. |
Great point that is often overlooked.
Especially with people aged 16-26 |
I admit they have the authority to remove them. I still think it's pathetic and sets a bad precedent. |
In what way. Its a private venue, the owners have the right to confiscate the signs or to remove the people holding the signs. People do not have the right to bring the signs into that venue. |
Where does it end? My baguars must not be silenced. _________________

The entertaining part was that when security came to confiscate the signs in our section, fans began passing them around the entire lower bowl. I even remember seeing one guy running up and down the aisles, and across rows - all while holding up the sign and being chased by security.
But I agree that most of the time signs are just annoying. |
That sounds like something we do. _________________

I think confiscating the signs and/or ejecting fans just signed Pioli's end. You can get away with bad GM'ing for so long but couple that with bad publicity that could affect ticket sales? Then, it's definitely time to go. _________________ life is one huge game that infinite awareness has with itself |

If I remember correctly, a KC news broadcast stated yesterday that it has always been an Arrowhead policy to not allow signs, doesn't matter if it is a D fence sign or a Fire Pioli sign. _________________

The Chiefs brutally murdered a lifelong fan with MS. They deserve whatever signs the fans want to bring. |

The NFL owners and exectutives need to man up and take the bad signs from fans when they are not putting a quality product on the field. Teams like the Browns, Chiefs, Raigers, Jaguars and Rams should have ever right to bring signs to the stadium to express their displeasure. They should be able to say whatever they want at games without getting kicked out(unless cussing). If Pioli and co want the signs to stop then put a winning team on the field or a competitive team at the very least.
Fans of teams like the Giants, Jets and Eagles need to shut up and leave their signs at home because those in charge have given you winning seasons. The NFL has its ups and downs so ride the downs you spoiled brats.
That is my take on signs. Sometimes it comes to a point where fans should be allowed to express displeasue(Chiefs) and times when the fans are just spoiled brats who need to shut it(Giants). _________________
