Umm...how exactly is THAT hit NOT considered a hit on a defenseless player again?

WTH was Copper doimg on that punt |
I believe the rule goes as follows: The Bengals touched the ball first, therefore the Chiefs could only advance it unless he then took possession and then later fumbled. |
And is he going to advance it with 3 Bengals around him, or is it more likely he'd gain possession and then get stripped? Again, what's the upside here? |
Again, this is only my perspective, but I've seen guys in on the pile totally forget and let the ball squirt out. Those defenders were on the ground or going to the ground. A quick change of direction could leave those guys completely out of the play and thus giving our side a numbers advantage. Also, its an aging Special Teams player just trying to make a play on what is already a lost game/season. |
Did not know this, I stand corrected.
Thanks for the info _________________

Pioli did. That was really, really sad to see the shot of the people flooding into the parking lots and then the shot of all of the empty seats. We thought when Carl Peterson and Herm Edwards were fired we had hit rock bottom. Little did we know. What a sad state of affairs for this franchise. Clark Hunt HAS to squirm when he looks at all of the empty seats. _________________

It was below the shoulders. Isn't that the rule? _________________

| Quote: | (b) Prohibited contact against a player who is in a defenseless posture is:
(1) Forcibly hitting the defenseless player’s head or neck area with the helmet, facemask, forearm, or shoulder, regardless of whether the defensive player also uses his arms to tackle the defenseless player by encircling or grasping him; and
(2) Lowering the head and making forcible contact with the top/crown or forehead/”hairline” parts of the helmet against any part of the defenseless player’s body.” |
The hit on Moeaki was legal from what I saw. _________________

We need people who are impatient and can't tolerate this type of losing. Especially at the top.
PS I know where all the rum has gone. _________________

Why don't we cut Stanzi? I mean seriously, I know we have talked about this before but what do we gain by putting Quinn in there? Let's see, if he piddles around and maybe pulls a win out of the nether-regions, do we re-sign him for $2-$4 million a year? I see no value being added by not putting in the young developmental quarterback in. If he flops on his face, oh well. If he provides a spark atleast you know it might be worth keeping him around.
I mean, if the coaching staff thinks he is completely incompetent, they why not just let him go? _________________

Was the hit on A.J. Green by Elam that drew the flag legit? It sure seemed like a legal hit. _________________

If the current score holds, this marks the sixth time in nine losses this season the Chiefs have lost by at least fourteen points. _________________
