I just kept this to QBs, because realistically, we all know a QB is going to win it. On top of that, it made it a lot easier to have an even "grading" system that makes it easier to compare.

Tom Brady:
Attempts: 1st
YPA (minimum 250 attempts): 4th
YPA (of top 10 in attempts): 1st
TD: 5th
INT (of top 20 in TDs): T-1st
Yards: 1st

Offensive PPG: 1st
Offensive YPG: 1st
Points defense: T-12th
Yards defense: 26th

Record: 5-3
Loses by seven or less points: 3
Loses by three or less points: 3
Double digit loses: 0
Double digit wins: 4

Against +.500 teams: 1-3

Combined total +/- in loses: -4
Combined total +/- in wins: +96

Per win +/-: 17.2

Total +/-: +92

----

Peyton Manning:

As much as I'd love it, I doubt it. You have a few QBs playing lights out right now, and the media tends to gravitate towards QBs. No matter how well Watt is playing, the ONLY way he gets it is if the Texans go 15-1 and he breaks Strahan's record in the process.

I'd love it, but the media loves QBs. Can't break that cycle.

I say it's a toss up between JJ Watt and Matt Ryan. I still think Matt wins it.

I gotta admit, I was wrong about Peyton. My physical predications for him were about right on- he's still not passing the ball very well- but he's compensated in other ways that I didn't give him enough credit for.

That being said the Broncos OL has been really good this season, and I'll wait until he plays a game or two in a game under 60 degrees with no breeze or clouds.

I only included Ryan because of the Falcons 7-0 record.

Do you really think the Falcons are anything but better with any of Brady, Rodgers, or Peyton? Or for that matter Ben, Eli, and Brees.

Ryan is the worst of the four players playing on the best team of the four players.

JJ Watt is the most valuable player on the #1 team in the AFC. Furthermore, he is fueling the #1 team in the AFC while being the only person in the NFL having a historic season. He has 9.5 sacks (from the freaking 5-tech), 10 passes defended (2nd in the nfl to a freaking cornerback), and his tips have resulted in 4 game-changing interceptions.

The knuckle-draggers at the AP may disagree, but the real MVP is JJ Watt.

What makes you say he's not passing ball well right now? He's passing like a God right now. Just curious because that statement makes no sense to me

I'm starting a MVP campaign for JJ Watt. He shall not be ignored! We will have debates between him and the quarterbacks.

I never thought he'd be playing at this level...but right now for me it's Peyton. Dude is playing incredibly right now and in all 3 of his losses, has nearly came back to win each game IIRC.

1. Peyton Manning
2. Aaron Rodgers
3. JJ Watt
4. Matt Ryan
5. Tom Brady
6. Ben Roethlisberger
