Seems to be the standard fine for helmet to helmet hits.
But I'm having a big problem with the way the NFL has handled these helmet to helmet hits. The rules that they have put in place are far to vague. To many times I've seen the defender get flagged and/or fined for a hit, that he had no control over. Where the defender lined up his hit to go at the body, but the receiver, to brace himself, tucked and ducked, causing a helmet to helmet hit. That's what happened to Brinkley, he aimed at the body, but Johnson ducked his head and came into contact with Brinkley's helmet.
Rules should not be as vague as the NFL has been making them lately. It's taking away a lot from the game. _________________
