Quote: | Jim Harbaugh will have what the 49ers are calling a "minor procedure" today to address an irregular heartbeat that was detected Wednesday night, the team announced today.
Harbaugh, 48, began feeling ill Wednesday evening and went to Stanford Hospital, which is near his home and which is affiliated with the 49ers. It's not known what the procedure will entail, but a team spokesman said Harbaugh is expected back tomorrow. Special teams coach and assistant head coach Brad Seely is acting as head coach today. |

Here's hoping the surgery is a success and everything is fine. Priority #1 is health and thats more important than MNF right now. Coach just needs to follow Doctor's orders and take it easy for a little bit. |

I had an irregular heart beat when I was in high school and think that it's probably the same procedure. Catheters were inserted through my thigh, neck, and then lead to the vein that caused the irregular beat. The vein was then "destroyed", and everything was back to normal. I was in and out the same day.
Hoping for a quick recovery for Jim! _________________

Not surprised he's having an issue with his heart. Seems like he's under an insane amount of stress every gameday. _________________

I know it's highly unlikely, but perhaps we could see Harbaugh up in the booth this week. _________________
