The whole game has been full of surprises. Jax up 14 over Houston? Chad henne with 4 tds? Crazy game.
I would think there is definitely a qb controversy though.

Not really. If anything, this win might help the Vikings wild card chances. Knocks the Lions out for good, considering that the Lions probably wont win against Houston on Thursday.
Chicago, Green Bay and Minnesota could all make the playoffs.
Right now, the Bucs, Seattle and Dallas are three other teams that we need to start losing games. |

There is no scenario where Green Bay winning today was superior to Detroit winning unless some how the Lions finish with a better record.
And I also have a bad feeling this is going to be one of those stupid years where an 11-5 team could miss the play offs.

Demaryius Thomas has the best feet around the boundary lines this side of Cris Carter... Manning has him looking like a hell of a receiver.

Yes and no. It depends on how you feel about Detroit contending for the final wild card spot. Sure we had the advantage since we beat them twice, but MN doesnt have to finish better than Chicago and Green Bay to make the playoffs. They arent the only competition. Further, MN has four games against those two teams to close the year. If they are to make the playoffs, they are going to have to win those head to head games.
I just like seeing Detroit pretty much out of contention. Again, if you believe that three teams from the North can make the playoffs, Detroit losing isnt a bad thing.
Of course id rather see GB lose, however, to say them winning makes it more difficult for us, that statement doesnt make much sense to me considering there are more teams than them to contend with and MN doesnt have to finish better than the Packers and Bears to make the playoffs. The Bucs and Seahawks worry me more than the Packers since as of now, they have the head to head advantage. But again, these four upcoming division games will decide how the playoff pictures shakes out but keep in mind, Seattle, Tampa and Dallas and possibly New Orleains will need to be watched closely as well. |
