I often wonder if the ads on the forum are pertaining to my personal browsing history or the general forum?
Yesterday and today I've gotten the following type of ads while on FF:
Mortgage
Credit
Hair-loss
Hydro
Blood donation
Apple
Video games
Participaction (helping kids get more active)
Microsoft

Yes they are ... pretty sure (not 100%) that most/all sites sell your "information"
Like if I were to post a status on facebook about kayaks there would be an ad the next time I refreshed about kayaks (most of the time) ... same thing with google and other large sites
also I dont think a new thread was needed to ask this question

i think its personal browsing. Everytime i go to FF I see "Buy GKMC", "Raider tickets", "Warrior tickets", "A's tickets", Lids, champs ect.

it used to be where if you went into like a team's forum or thread, stuff for that team would pop up.
so yes, it's by browsing history and what time of topic you're under
