Phillips just injured his shoulder. I don't really like him, but he might be cheaper than the other options.

Only free agent OLB I would really want is Connor Barwin.
Wouldn't mind drafting Mingo/Moore/Jordan in the 1st then draft Jenkins/Jeffcoat in the mid-rounds. |

He could transition. He played 3-4 OLB in college.
Jenkins lost his job to Carradine. Jeffcoat may not declare, even though he's not the better player. Had Carradine not torn his ACL, he would be a 1st round pick.

Sorry for being unclear, I meant to say he took over for Jenkins. He's shown that he's clearly the better player and much better than Jenkins. Many people agree with me.

Not really. Cutting Bart Scott, Calvin Pace, Jason Smith, Eric Smith, and Tim Tebow will free up a ton of money.

I agree it's within reason. I just hope we don't get into a bidding war though because pass rushers always go for more than they're worth.

Alright guys, so I looked up the cap situation.
Good news is that if we make all those obvious cuts plus the roll over money, we will have 18 million in cap space.
Bad news is that we will only have 35 players signed, so we still need to fill out the roster. Jets will definitely look to re-sign Keller & Landry, plus leave some money left over for Revis.
Which like I said, makes the signing of Avril very unlikely. |

You're leaving out the leftover money we get from this past offseason. That gives us around $8.1MM.

How much do yall think Connor Barwin will go for if he hit the FA pool? Looking at his numbers, he is really not doing that well. Could come for a pretty good price.
