This gameday thread is brought to you by Nutter Butters.

Nutter Butters: If you don't like them, that means you're probably a Seahawks fan.

Rams (3-5-1)

VS

Jets (3-6)

Before we begin, let's go over some theorems and proofs.

Proof of Amendola: The offense needs him. Last week just showed how much he brings to the table. Scoring more than 20 points has been difficult for the Rams this season, but they were able to do it with him back in the game against one of the leagues best defenses. With him being out, Sam was able to utilize some of the other targets, which was the only positive for him being out. Now when Danny is covered, Sam can trust some of his other targets.

Theorem of Pead not panning out: Obviously he hasn't been what we as fans were hoping for. He hasn't been getting very much play time, and he obviously isn't an answer as a returner. Mental errors are also holding him back. It's not like the team invested the farm in him, but still, he was selected pretty early and with the way he played in college, it's easy to have high hopes for him.

Proof of Young GZ being an offensive assert

When your kicker is nailing field goals in the 50+ yard range, it's a wonderful way to rack up more points. Not only that, if it weren't for that timeout error he would have had the game winner in a clutch moment, in what was one of the most heartbreaking scenes I've had to endure as a fan. That being said, he has become the kicker Josh Brown was supposed to be, and he's only a rookie. He could very well be an elite kicker in the next 2-3 years.

Theorem of being a potential playoff contender

The Rams would have to win their next 7 games in a row to get 10 wins, which is typically the norm for making it. 3 of those games are division games, which on paper spells good news for the team, as they are 2-0-1 in the NFC West. They still have to play a stellar Vikings team, a hit-or-miss Jets team, and a Bills team that plays their opponents to the wire (Rams are 0-2 against AFC East opponents). I don't think anyone projected the Rams to go to the playoffs, so let's not get too spoiled here. However, it's been almost a decade since they have made an appearance. I think we would all appreciate the surprise.

And now...everyone favorite Soap Opera. The New York Jets in....The Plays of Our Lives

Sanchez: Man...this stinks. Another loss. Oh well, guess I'll just go home and get cozy with my super model girlfriend, hehe. I can't believe they even expected anything out of USC QB's as pros, I'm only following the footsteps of legend Matt Leinart.

*ring ring*

Sanchez: Hello?

Ryan: YOU MAKE ME ANGRY! Why do you keep throwing the ball to the other team?

Sanchez: Umm...I dunno....I think their corners are better than our receivers.

Ryan: Oh, okay. I have an idea. When your hot girlfriend dumps you and you have to resort to the bar scene like normal people your age, I'm going to conduct an experiment.

Sanchez: An experiment?

Ryan: Yes, I'm going to watch you point out a dime at the bar, then sling a moo cow in your direction, and yell "INTERCEPTION, OINK OINK" when you two start making out. Your problem is you commit horribly! You put yourself in garbage situation! You...

Greene: Hey, is he heckling you again?

Sanchez: Yeah

Greene: Welp....looks like it's time to deploy the "I'm sorry" package.

Sanchez: Okay, I'll tell him.

Sanchez: Hey coach...I got something for you, another shipment of Nutter Butters in the shape of feet.

Ryan: Oh...OH NO WAY! Where did you find these? Wow, you're not such a bad guy after all. Tell you what, you can start next week. Cortland Finnegan won't pick you off, you'll be fine. Doubt you'll end up on your back with that lackluster O-line as well.

Sanchez: But what about the media? They are after my head! You know how New Yorkers get...when they're not happy, you have to invite change to please them.

Ryan: It's alright, I got this under control.

Press: So, Mr. Bart Scott, what do you think about the idea of starting Tebow this week?

Barkley: Oh...umm...he's trrrrrrribbbllleeee.....just trrbbbllle. Offense score, 40 points, 50 points, not when he's in there. Nah, he just throws it to the wrong guy, can't run the offense, now let me tell you, Peyton Manning...EErrrrn Rodgers, those guys can run an offense, much like Sanchez can. Mark is our guy.

Press: Have you put on weight and grown 4 inches Mr. Scott?

Barkley: Yeah, it's called "CAN'T WEIGHT" Can't lose weight! Gotta love them nutter butters.

Press: And what say you, Mr. Antonio Cromartie?

Kemp: Ummm....I dunno, I like having Tebow around to take care of the kids and stuff, he's a good mentor. However, when managing a game changing situation, Tebow is terrible. Sanchez is the man.

Press: Thank you for your time.

Kemp: Hey...can I get some help for these kids? How 'bout some nutter butters?

Press: And what say you, Mr. Nick Mangold?

Mangold: I am so tired of blocking for this scrub. Put Tebow in, it's about time for some change.

Ryan: HEY! YOU! WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN HERE, MR. HOMELESS PERSON?

Mangold: Huh?

Ryan: This isn't the soup kitchen, run along, stop talking to the press.

Press: But Rex, this is one of your offensive linemen.

Ryan: No he's not, Nick is right here!

Galifianakis: Hey guys! It's me, Nick Mangold! I'm here to tell you that Sanchez is the man! Tebow is terrible, like me playing a serious role terrible. By the way, Rex, I ate your Nutter Butters.

Ryan: Oh....well...no big deal...those were just specially made for me...excuse me Nick, your jersey got left in the room where I shoot people who take my cookies. You better go grab it before blood gets stained on it.

Galifianakis: Oh...uhh...yeah, I, Nick Mangold, would hate for that to happen! Excuse me guys!

Press: ........he'll be back, right?

*BANG*

Ryan: Oh no! A group of children stole his jersey! Looks like he had to go track them down.

Press: Well, we have one more player we would like to speak to, Mr. Tim Tebow.

Tebow: They said I couldn't go to a big time school....

Press: Tim, is it true, are you terrible?

Tebow: They said I couldn't go pro. They said I should be a fullback and not a quarterback.

Press: Just answer the question, are you terrible? Should Sanchez start over you?

Tebow: All I needed was some motivation...all I needed....was...

Press: Oh let me guess, some sports drink protein formula, yeah we know, we know Tim, you're fueled by doubters and EAS.

Tebow: All I needed...was peanut butter sandwiched between two shortbread cookies. Nutter Butters: They're biblical. And yes, I freakin' suck.

Is the Rams defense going to dominate this game?

Hopefully, Janoris is back. This game should get our mojo back for us, Haven't had a turnover in 5 games? We should get a few this week.

I think the Rams will win this game by a lot. However, the pass defense is the strongest unit on the Jets. Only 10 TDs and 1834 yards given up through the air this season.

Lost it right there. Laughing

I don't know why but I got a bad feeling about this game. It has all the makings of a trap game. Hope I'm wrong.

As a New Yorker, I find that picture referring to the Jets repulsive...Great Whites aren't native in our waters!
