I have taken the test several times in the last ~8 years, and it is my belief that it is a very valuable test. Understanding your tendencies and preferences is important.
I am an INTP.
When I signed up/was selected for a competitive soccer team when I came back to Canada (age 10), our coach had t-shirts made with our jersey number and gave us nicknames. My shirt read 'Thinker', which is a common descriptor of the INTP. _________________

This test is biased because extraverts may not even take the time to take ybe yest |
Well actually its the results that would be biased, not the test (based off your thinking here) _________________

I don't put a lot of stock into this test or personality tests in general, even though this one is probably more valid then your average personality quiz made by some 17 year old girl. The "traits" you receive are for the most part overwhelmingly broad and positive, and such the results are often accepted by the test taker as positive reinforcement.
The biggest concern though is the bias of the people taking the test, who are proven to almost always project how they want to be viewed/how they view themselves in their answers, thus not getting an accurate measure of their true personailty. |
A voice of reason.
I think the positive reinfircement that these things can bring to some people make them invaluable.
It can come across that it is ok to be you, which in most cases it is, a lot of people are hurt and broken and some sought of validation can do the world for them. _________________ I survived Johannesburg, 2013. |
