Maybe Fitzy should buckle his chin straps tighter.

Spikes has been turning into one of my favorite players on this team. He's the type of player you love to have on your team, but hate to play against. Plays with a mean streak like Rodney Harrison's. Makes big hits, causes fumbles, he's a play maker.

I didn't even think that hit on Fitz was dirty.

I hear it so much.

Yet like Sam said, when WR's whine for PI almost every time, no one says anything.

If people are interested, that hit on Connoly by Moore was on a Vereen screen near the end of the 1st half. Not sure what time mark it is, but should be hard to find since it's a Vereen screen.

Spikes is no where close to a dirty player like Bills fans make him. He can be mouthy on the field, but no way dirty. Ryan Fitz was just getting a bit frustrated throughout the game, and the Spikes hit just got him more angry.

This is the most infuriating argument against a Spikes hit I've ever seen.

1) Fitzpatrick was backpedalling
2) when Spikes got to him he extends his arms towards Fitzpatrick's shoulders
3) When Fitz is touched he braces for a hit and lowers his head, he also stops backpedalling
4) The combination of Fitz's momentum being stopped by bracing (lowering his head) and stopping his backpedal, whilst Spikes momentum continues through Fitzpatrick causes the pair to fall backwards....
5) As they fall backwards upon impact with Spikes arms outstretched, as they get closer (during the hit) Spikes bends his arms to bring his body into Fitzpatricks, however, Fitzpatrick has his head lowered due to bracing.
6) The combination of Spikes body coming towards Fitzpatrick with momentum, Fitz bracing (lowering his head) and stopped momentum, and the induced fall brings Spikes' head and helmet underneath Fitzpatricks helmet.
7) The helmet comes off only when Fitz hits the ground with his helmet being wedged between the ground and Spikes' helmet.

If Fitz hadn't lowered his head Spikes hits him in the chest.

If Fitz had his helmet on properly, it doesn't come off.

Helmet to helmet contact only occurred after and during the hit

Spikes was not head hunting and it was not a dirty play

Remember when Vince Wilfork was one of the dirtiest players in the league claimed by many posters on here?

We here players on a weekly basis crying in the post game about the refereeing.

We have NEVER heard Brady even allude to a complain about the refs post game.

Do people honestly believe people bemoaning it post game didn't bemoan it in real time to the refs?

The guy who complains about it post game is a hell of a lot worse than a guy who only asks for a call in the heat of the moment.

That being said, the whole "Brady is a whiner" notion is completely overblown personal bias, just like the "Brady has all day to throw" one. I've seen Brady take shots to the head and not say anything on more than one occasion. I think the only times I've seen him ask for calls was either when some notorious for wanting to hurt him (Suggs), it was egregious (who can blame him then?), or it was a repeat offender (obviously hinting at wanting to hurt him).

Just more personal bias and blind hatred to a guy who has always been a class act. Brady practically worships the other team in his media interviews and always says the right things. I never understood the blind hatred of Brady beyond just taking shots at a guy who has dominated everyone but the Broncos for his entire career.

That was after he went low on Fitzpatrick IIRC. Ironic....

I think that was Losman?

Vince Wilfork used to be quite a dirty player. I don't think he is anymore though, maybe age/responsibility mellowed him. Spikes seems absolutely crazy, though (more good than bad).

Do you watch football? Have you ever seen a wide receiver not beg for a flag after an incomplete pass? How many times have you seen a quarterback go up to a ref after an incompletion arguing for pass interference? Stop acting like this is something exclusive to Brady, because it's not.

But it was one of your Patriot followers that made it seem like it was only Fitz who has ever done this..

anyways, all I can say is Karma.

Find that quote from me and I will never come on this site again...please find where i said "Fitz is the only QB who complains about refs".

It's okay....I'll wait.

show me where i was referring to you?

It's okay, i'll wait.

and obviously this has nothing to do with the bills/patriots, but for those who say Spikes isn't dirty..

what do you cal that?
