He and Tagliabue were very much involved in bending over backwards to make the NFL the ultimate TV sport many times at the expense of the live product. If he's all that concerned he should look in the mirror. _________________

He's not completely crazy, but it's a combination of TV's and the price of going to games. I know a few past season ticket holders who wont go to games anymore because watching the game on TV is much better and cheaper in the long run.
NFL will just have to start making money from more advertisements... which mean more commercials...
Ticket prices have more to do with the teams and the players' salaries, which are just gonna keep going up. Goodell can say whatever he wants, but the owners wont lower ticket prices. _________________ Kickers are people too

for me it was true before hd tvs. going to a game is fun. ive been to one regular season game and it was fun but not really worth the money. i was in the upper deck and it cost $ for two tickets (im not going by myself) plus the gas for the 3 hour drive. rather beable to see the better view of the play and have my 6 dollar six pack instead of the 6 dollar bear. _________________

It's the stoppages in play. They feel like 30 times longer live. Just long stretches where aint nothin happening. Has nothing to do with HD. _________________

Are you sure this isn't a conspiracy to ruin the Steelers? _________________

So, 30 years ago, when I was watching football from a 19" TV with rabbit ears for an antenna, I was more likely to go to a game that cost more than my mother made in a week to take us all?
Goodell....not sure if serious....or..... _________________

Mostly because they aren't long enough to go to the bathroom at a stadium, but they are at home, and you can't flip to the CBS game or make yourself a drink.
Well, you can get a drink it'll just cost you 8 bucks _________________

I think it's only going to be a problem for teams that have a problem selling tickets _________________

Where can I get in on this deal?
And I agree, watching games at home is way better than going. You don't have to brave the conditions, food and drinks are cheaper, you get a comfy chair to sit in, and don't have to deal with random drunk and rowdy fans starting stuff. _________________ Martellus Bennet highlight video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5lP8fHN53t0 |

Hey Goodell, get back to me when the Packers' season ticket waiting list is finally clear. _________________

| I do not enjoy going to football games. Nearly everyone is drunk and unless the teams are engaged in a hurry up offense it gets fairly boring waiting 40 seconds to a minutes between each play. I'd much rather go to a basketball game which at least has constant action. |
