Agreed 100%. Moore is a MASSIVELY underrated guy that has been victimized by awful situations in his career. If he had a coach that backed him up and actually trusted his capabilities i think he would definitely be an above average QB. _________________

Don't think Luke Mccown would be the Falcons go to guy if Ryan went down. A guy we have had longer than him and is way more talented and beat out redman and jpw in preseason would be our go to backup QB. Dominique Davis. The kid looked pretty good in preseason and has alot of upside and talent imo. _________________

Nah if you read the OP it says they ranked the best backups on "winning teams".
Hence why Matt Moore isn't on the list. |

too bad he's not on a winning team _________________

| Chase Daniel? Tier two, Good QB, very important for Drew Brees and maybe could be a starter on another Team! |

T.J. Yates isn't even the best backup in his division. He's not as good as people think. _________________ Stop slobbering over Brian Dawkins |

That's pretty much all that needs to be done.
Nice to see Mallett in here, there is a 'Best Backup QB' thread in Comparisons forum currently and I was the only one who mentioned Mallett.
He was a very good QB in college and the only thing stopping him from being a 1st Round lock was his character concerns and alleged drug use.
Hasn't failed any drug tests, hasn't been in any trouble so maybe all the pre-draft stuff was overblown.
I'd like to think that all the concerns aren't true and that he has learned under Brady and picked up some very good habits.
Also, the physical skillset is huge. Oozing with potential and I still think we'll be able to squeeze a 2nd Round pick or 2 out of a team in need of a QB in the next couple of years. _________________

The fact that there is the 'Only on a winning team' caveat is that this article might be looking for the next Matt Schaub, Matt Cassel, Matt Flynn, Kevin Kolb.
Basically, guys who are affected by being behind a currently successful QB.
If Matt Moore and Kyle Orton et al are such good QB's, then why aren't they starting for (and winning games) their team? - is basically what the 'Winning Team' caveat is portraying. _________________

Or in the case of Joe Webb: guys who are affected by being stuck behind a bad QB taken in the 1st Round.

The case of Joe Webb is that of a bad QB backing up another bad QB. _________________
