The Giants threw for 510 yards against the Bucs with Talib playing. Much of that yardage came against Talib himself.
Given his newness to the scheme and the fairly mediocre season he's been having, I'm not expecting big things. He might be an improvement (it would hard to be worse) but I doubt he will be an impact addition. |
1. Are the Pats even activating Talib? Deadline was 4pm today.
2. Its reasonable to expect a quiet day from Wayne. Knowing BB, he's gonna be bracketed all day. IIRC in last year's matchup he was quiet until the very end of the game when Garcon went crazy and they had to change things up. Luck will probably torch us, but I expect it'll be through attractive matchups elsewhere. Hilton, Allen, Avery, short passes to Donald Brown.
3. Talib's supposedly been practicing at LCB. I think Wayne always lines up on the left side of the formation. So Talib vs. Wayne won't actually happen. _________________

Observationally, he's had his two best games of the year against the Bills |

Dennard decided to take the mantle of 'Worst CB in the NFL' last week.
At least a Patriot won the award again.... _________________

Talib is a swag dude. Big game stud.
Multiple interceptions in his patriots debut. It will be a deafening, ear shattering, league shaking, balance of power shifting, Moss week 1 2007 type explosion.
Just a hunch or hope. _________________

So just thinking about it, we all agree that last week was an off week and they didn't play up to snub. And honestly, we all complained a little at some point last week. ....And we scored 37 points.
Man it is going to be rough once BB and Brady are gone.
#1 PPG, #YPG offense, both by a considerably big margin and Brady doesn't get any MVP love? 6-3 with this secondary? Cripes.
EDIT:
Hernandez is out. Expect us to score at least 40 today. _________________
