Here's the list of 2,000 yard rushing seasons:
1. 2,105 Eric Dickerson
2. 2,097 Adrian Peterson
3. 2,066 Jamal Lewis
4. 2,053 Barry Sanders
5. 2,008 Terrell Davis
6. 2,006 Chris Johnson
7. 2,003 O.J. Simpson |
Let's not forget O.J. did it in during the 14 game season era. |

Idc if he was 9 yards short. This is the best rb season ever. 1 year from tearing his acl he nearly breaks the record. _________________

The interviewer goes " so you were 9 short" and ap goes 9 what, like he had no clue what she was talking about. I don't know, I found it humorous. |
That was priceless. _________________

I won't lie and say that I'm happier now that you guys got a payoff spot than if AP got the record. But congratulations, and I hope you see GB in the playoffs again and stomp on them in the running game again. Good luck! _________________

Peterson was amazing, if he goes for 2000 again, I wouldnt be shocked.
Though, going forward, a little bit more production from the passing game is needed and that will cut into Peterson's production. |

If we make any improvements to the Offensive line, AP will break the record next year. _________________

If Peterson can spread out his yards over all 16 games, instead of the last 8, he should have a good chance at 2000 again. Just imagine where Peterson would have been if he was 100% week 1. _________________

Adrian Peterson should surpass 10,000 yards next season, and be in the top 25 all-time rushers, by the end of the season. _________________

nine yards...
after running for 2097 (over a mile!), he misses by eighteen feet.
one more good run during the year... a few less stops behind the line of scrimmage...
oh well, we WON and that's what's on the mind of every MINN player. think of the celebrating and back slapping going on with that team tonight! _________________
