...which is unfortunate, because that is still the worst group of corners in the NFL.
Wright - Awful
Johnson - Looking great, still relatively unknown
Lewis - Worst football player of all time
Gaitor - Complete unknown
Biggers - Awful |
I meant LeQuan Lewis, for the record. I should have clarified that.
I do think that Wright is better than awful although he's clearly not good. I would say he's, "Good enough to be on the field" good, but not as often as he is. Biggers is serviceable at this point of the season, but I don't think he should be on the field regularly, but he's a quality 5th corner,
IMO.
At this point I don't think we have any great corners so I'd like to see what we have in Johnson, Gaitor, Lewis and Tandy. We already know Johnson seems legit, but the rest of them deserve a shot, too. They could be another Leo Johnson or another Myron Lewis.

I've seen his name mentioned, so he must be around. _________________

Ah yes, LeQuan. Great name, so I hope he looks good.
This group is the difference between playoffs or not in my opinion. If Gaitor, Lewis, or Tandy can step up and play well, along with Johnson continuing is surprisingly strong play, we can have at least a serviceable defensive backfield, which along with our rush defense and overall offense can propel us to a playoff spot. _________________

The BUCs!
Leonard Johnson goes 4 for 4, Cam won't be able to help himself to an LJ pick.
Bowers and David should have big games stuffing the run. Bowers had the game of his career last year against CAR, hes hungry for seconds.
Free for 3 (TD's) and Doug "My New Favorite" Martin for 100+ from scrimmage. |

| Wait, Bowers is back?! He feasted on our OL last year. Is this is first game back or has he been back for awhile now? |

Bowers has been back for 3 games now. The coaching staff is slowly increasing his reps. He is mostly playing RDE on pretty obvious passing downs. Daniel Te'o Nesheim has been playing there on early downs and moving inside next to McCoy at DT when Bowers comes into the game. |

Bowers has looked awesome lately. Hopefully he keeps that up and gets more reps, because Teo Nesheim offers nothing. _________________
