So we're a little over halfway through the season and I'm wondering who you guys believe is the Bronco MVP so far?
I think most will have it as a two way battle between Peyton and Von, but others may think differently.
Personally I'm torn between Peyton and Miller. Both have been phenomenal and both have solid cases for winning awards for their respective sides.
If I had to choose one, I think I'd choose Von. What he's been doing for a second year player is ridiculous and I've never been more happy to be so wrong about a player. I was astonished that we picked him at #2 overall when we had more pressing needs at DT, but he has turned this defense around from atrocious to above average (as well as we have been over preforming we still could be better). He has demonstrated that he can be a one man wrecking crew, creating havoc and opportunities for his teammates. Needless to say our defense would be way worse if he went down.
That's what I think, who do you guys believe to be our Broncos MVP? _________________

Von Miller or Ryan Clady would get my vote. With Peyton Manning right after them. _________________

| Like you said, it is a toss up for me between Manning/Miller. Gun at my head, i'd probably take Manning though. While Miller is a HUGE part of the defense i think it is possible they could get by without him. Without Manning Denver's offense would be trash and this team would probably be picking in the top 10, IMO. |

As much as we all love Von, it has to be Peyton. Which team would you take:
Peyton Manning at QB with an average SLB?
or
Von Miller at SLB with an average QB?
Von is on the upswing over the last few weeks, having some of his best performances as a pro, but having Peyton Manning makes the Broncos a contender. I'm not taking anything away from Von Miller (if I did he would simply shed a block, sack me, and dance over my limp body), but an elite QB will always be the most valuable. |

Exactly. If we are talking who has been the better performer at their position, for me it is Miller. But if we are talking who has been the most valuable player for us this year, it has to be Manning (especially when you consider what is behind him). _________________ 20 TIMES, 20 TIMES MAN UNITTTTTEEDDD

Von Miller is the best linebacker in the NFL(right up with Watt and Tillman for best DP IMO) but Manning means more to the team. _________________

Simply because of the importance of his position, the most valuable player to the team is Peyton. There's really no debate about that; there is no position in any sport that is as critical to a team's success as a QB is in the NFL.
Von might be player of the year - I would argue his play at SLB surpasses Manning's at QB (though no by much) - but as hibdib31 said, no matter how good Von is, having an elite QB like Manning is more valuable to the team. _________________ big_palooka:

It's Peyton, but Von is close.
I would also throw Rahim Moore's name out there. He isn't the most likely name, but if you watch him, the leap he made from last year is astounding. He's been good in coverage, and has proven to be really good tackler to this point.
Mike Adams has come on as well. Our safety play went from awful weakness to strong. _________________
