This made way too much sense. He'll start soon. RT @RavensInsider: Panthers are signing Jeremy Bridges, according to a league source.

I would sit Bell or move him to RG

Oh my god, no!

If he starts, Newton is screwed. Bridges is flat out terrible. I can't even imagine how much worse he'd be having to pass protect 80% of the time.

Agreed, time to put Clausen in to protect the future.

If this is the move that makes us realize Bell can be a solid long-term RG, then I'm okay with it.

This. How many players have been cut or suspended because of alcohol related issues in our history? Bridges, Collins and Jarrett, who am I missing?

I always thought Bridges was good for a stop gap RG not a long term answer but can get the job done for a bit. Obviously this season is now solely in evaluation mode and this puts Bell at RT where he's most effective. IF Jeremy stops getting drunk and threatening women at strip clubs he can serve a purpose. That's a big if though, bout as big as Bridges behind.

Wow. Backwards step. Why not get Todd Sauerbrun back to address the issues with the punting while we're at it.

Bigger question though is who will be cut to make room for Bridges?

I'm thinking Bridges might be put at RG with Bell staying at RT. Maybe we'll get more traditional with this sign.

I have my fingers crossed that they didn't sign him for more than the rest of the season.
