He would be a 4-3 DE and would come here to be an OLB. Maybe that is a position that he could be good at. Hard to tell. If he were to stay at DE he would need to gain an extra 25 pounds. But at his current size, he could play OLB in a 3-4.
Does that mean that he has the skill? Dont know. If he couldnt make it work as a 4-3 DE I am not sure how being a 3-4 OLB would be any better. I don't think he would be as agile and quick like Orakpo and Kerrigan.
It couldnt hurt to try him out and see what could happen. But I wouldnt be jumping all over this one. _________________

He went to Purdue, so maybe Kerrigan will have some input on a decision like this....
However, I think Edwards was a product of playing on the opposite side of Jared Allen.
I doubt that they claim him. _________________ Don't be afraid to turn the lights on...

| If he is a Free agent still next year and we go 4-3 he would be a nice start. |

The falcons pass rush has been worse since they signed him and the Vikings pass rush has been better with Griffen and Robinson since he left. No matter what we are running... He has declined on the Falcons defense and would be asked to do more here. There is no way that he has a new start if he couldnt prove himself on the Falcons defense. _________________

Nnamdi might be an option but just like a few years ago, he's going to want to go to a team that can win it all really soon because of his age. I don't think thats us. I think we are a few years away from being a true contender. _________________

Yet another example of a player that took the money and "retired",, no production for a 5 year $30 mill ( $11 guaranteed ) contract .. It's obv a real gamble signing other teams players ,,or ones own for that matter after the rookie contracts.
We're still painfully aware of Haynesworth and their are similar examples all round the league.
What's a G M to do ?? |

What's a G M to do ?? | yep. Then we have garçon who's given us one half all year.
Best to just build through the draft and sign reasonable FAs _________________

He sounds like it might have been a long term thing that finally got much worse.. He said it bothered him in camp.. Course--he could play thru any problems in Indy with a big contract on the line . |
