Just got some news today. I am going to be flown up to North Dakota for a job interview by ONEOK energy for a job working on the pipelines up there.
Could be some work on the Canadan side too.
Hopefully I get it as it could be anywhere from 60-100k.
The conditions are crappy though but the pay and benefits are awesome especially in the suckatude of this economy.
Gonna be packing the long johns though as it is COLD up there.
wish me luck _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

Same industry. I mentioned a few pages back that I just got a job with Chesapeake/PTL. At some point, we will be moving/expanding into N Dakota.
Some of the guys I work with have been up there before. Told me its always cold and there is nothing, nothing, to do.
Some of the bigger companies have built housing in the area and basically made a small town inside their own complex areas.
Chesapeake will be doing the same thing in Louisville, OH where I work at.
Whats their work schedule? most in this business are 14 days on and 7 off or something along those lines.
And Wal-mart.com has these fleece lined jeans. greatest pair of jeans i've ever bought. kept me warm even in the Browns Stadium when it was -12 with the wind chill a few years ago when we played PIT the last game.
Good luck! _________________ 2013 First Ballot Recipient of the Joe Blackburn Award |

Just more time for DS to lead us with his prospect rankings and profiles.

Thanks for the 411 on the pants. I usually ether use my Army cold weather gear I have left over or go to the surplus store or buy carhart stuff.
Just to return the favor. The army uses this black silk like long underwear that is also moisture wickening. it is extremely light weight and warm especialy with any thing fleece over top of it wich is the other half of the cold weather gear.
Military cold weather gear is very good and surplus stores has some in stock. _________________ The Dawgpounds new three headed monster!

I kept my cold weather from the marine corp as well, great stuff.
Is thing I did learn was that in cold but WET terrain was to add a layer of water proof but breathable material just under the fatigues. Came in real handy one time I fell through the ice into freezing water and mud up to my hips. Dry is alive.... _________________
