So far, our season pattern has been
Win Win Loss (24-13 Vikings)
Win Win Loss (26-3 Giants)
Win Win Tie (24-24 Rams)
Win Win Loss (16-13 Rams)
Now, there have been a lot of different things in each game. 1 PM or 4 PM EST, Home or Away, Alex or Kaep (lets not make this debate, just saying neither QB is to blame fully), good or bad run game, etc...it seems like we come up flat every 3rd game. And i'm not sure why. Maybe these teams match up well against us. Maybe its just a coincidence. Maybe we're getting overconfident after 2 wins. I don't know. I just don't think i've ever seen anything like this, where a team is almost guaranteed to disappoint on a certain pattern.
FWIW, the next (last) 4 games- Dolphins, @Patriots, @Seahawks, Cardinals
And if we make the playoffs and be the #2 seed with a 11-4-1 record, then we'd have playoff game 1, playoff game 2 (NFCCG?).
I don't know, just a weird continuing pattern _________________ -Not taking this off until the 49ers win #6 |

Well, it happened again...just like its been happening all year/
Games immediately before our losses/ties
-27-19 W, Lions
-45-3 W, Bills
-24-3 W, Cardinals
-31-21 W, Saints
-41-34 W, Patriots
3 blowout wins, another win that wasn't as close as the game suggested (Lions), and a win where we dominated early and then held off a comeback (Patriots).
Very unsettling that we have yet to win 3 straight...and if we want to win a SB we need to win at least 3 if not 4 straight games |

We did it on purpose.. we want opponents to think we can't win 3 straight, then BAM! Superbowl. Good job, Jimmy. _________________

I think he had us throw last nights game too just to fire up the team and make them angry before the playoffs. _________________

| for whatever reason our team doesnt handle being the top dog well, every time we get there we play flat. seems like we're better off the underdogs because this team relishes that well and plays ALOT better for some reason. I do wish we developed some kind of no huddle offense to run, I feel it helps against loud crowd noise and calling a play and when you can make several plays to calm the crowd down it makes it easier to go back to normal playcalling. also still feel like the coaching staff calls some questionable plays during crucial times, I dont really re-watch games to check but there's so many times our 3rd down plays just leave me shaking my head. |

I was hoping for the same thing, there were drives where Kaep made excellent throws to only be derailed by a turnover or inability to to get a TD in the red zone. _________________

Especially since our 3rd game would be....THE SUPER BOWL! I like our perfect record in the SB and would rather lose BEFORE that game than lose in the SB. _________________

That is correct...I think I skipped a round--the divisional round. Let's just put together our best 4 game streak ever, right?! _________________

That's the hope! Good news is, we'll know if we got over the 3rd game hump at that point. _________________
