The 11th NFL regular season week is around the corner, 8 more weeks to go until the playoffs. Now, the big question:
Has Von Miller bridged the gap between Watt and are Miller, Watt and Tillman in a fight for the honors of best defensive player of the year?
Hopefully, posters unrelated to the three respective fan bases can also weigh in... _________________

I think Tim Jennings should definitely be in the discussion. Possibly Lance Briggs too.
I'd go Tillman. 7 FF is just crazy. 2 pick 6s and being a lockdown corner on top of that. _________________

Noted. I tried to add 'Other' to the poll, yet somehow this wasn't included. _________________

Tim Jennings belongs in the discussion just as much as the other 3. He has 3 more PD's then the next guy and has 3 more INT's more then the next guy. _________________

Watt has slowed way down, only 1 sack in the last 3 games. Right now, I have Tillman. 7 FFs for a CB is just unreal and he's also been incredible in coverage on top of that. Watt and Miller are only SLIGHTLY behind though, its a really close race. _________________

I think Jennings is better than Peanut and it will show as the season goes on. Fumbles is a stat that doesn't really keep going. More a randomness of football type stat. I always wondered when we would get a fumble specialist in football, though. Maybe he's super legit but it would be unlike anything football has seen in the past. _________________

Gotta be Miller. 10 sacks and the league leading 21 TFLs are nice, but the real kicker is how he impacts every single defensive snap. It's ridiculous, if he's not making the play directly, he's forcing the play to go where it's not supposed to; essentially making the play, but having another player physically get the sack or tackle or INT.
I can only imagine how many sacks he'd have if he rushed the passer full time. Obviously, I wouldn't want that, as that would be a waste of his other talents as a LB, but if he rushed the passer as much as the other top 5 sack getters.. he'd probably break the sack record. |

Looks like we're starting to get bored of JJ Watt and trying to drum up controversy. It's still him. It's closer, but it's still him. _________________

Yeah. Watching the games, his teammates are reaping the benefits of all the attention offenses are giving him. _________________

Chandler Jones brings the chaos every down; its either a sack or a hold every time. Fact. He is the new anchor of the Patriot all world, unstoppable defense. _________________

Agreed... but I think it's Miller by the end of the season. Watt had an absolutely insane stretch, but Miller is just a really special player (and that's not to say Watt isn't - being a SF fan I can appreciate a great 3-4 DE, but we have seen Ngata and Smith both put up insane seasons without too much DPOY consideration... it would pretty much take Watt not slowing down at all to win, or another guy not stepping up). Not that 4-3 OLBs are exactly a premier position, but Miller gets a ton of chances to put up flashy stats. _________________
