I plan to keep this thread running through the offseason. I will list our current depth chart. This can help give us a good idea of what the holes on our team are and what we need to address. I have a color code that will show the long-term plans for each player on our roster. Feel free to reply with your thoughts on players. Each player listed will have their name linked to their page on nyjetscap.com.

Some players who are listed as long-term or future starters may also be cornerstone players. The only players listed as cornerstones are those who already are cornerstones.

How the hell is Sione Pouha a long-term starter?

By long-term I mean 2013 and possibly 2014. I wasn't sure where to put him, Bilal Powell, and Nick Bellore.

Good work though I think Aaron Berry will be our nickle or dime back next year, he's pretty good

Agree. I like Berry a lot.

Let's trade Kyle Wilson after the season. We could use the extra draft pick.

Lankster got off to a bad start but has improved lately. Wilson is a waste when Revis gets back. Plus Lankster can actually blitz.

Your right. That's someone we all need to be talking about. If Lank keep this up, I would love to see Revis, Cro, and Lank as our 3. Wilson is about to become our new Lito Sheppard. Trade him while he is young.

Maybe Wilson can go reinvent himself as a cover 2 corner, he's physical and tackles pretty well.

This is good work but I disagree with a few players.

1) Your not paying attention if you think D'Brickashaw Ferguson is a cornerstone. Hes very very replaceable, but unfortunately theres bigger needs. Hes been nothing more then mediocre. HOnestly the only good years hes had were the ones when Faneca was the LG. He also doesn't fit our scheme. Hes not a run blocker what so ever.

2) Austin Howards been pretty bad. If hes a long term starter our future QB is screwed. Hes not the solution at RT.

3) Kenrick Ellis needs to step up his play if he'll ever be a starter. In the games he started we gave up a ton of yards on the ground.

Overall though this was a very cool post.

Yeah. I noticed we haven't talked about him much. That's usually a good thing for a CB.

I hated the idea before the season, but I might not be against trading Wilson. I still might want to sign another CB if we did that.

You all act like Howard has been a superstar. He's been mediocre.

Revis
Cromartie
Wilson
Berry
Lankster

would be fine in my eyes

That may be because little Trufant is getting playing time as well.

It just doesn't make sense to continue to have Wilson, though. He's not a great nickel CB, and you might as well try trading him now while he may still have some value. Like others have said, maybe he can do something in a different defense.
