I thought the condition of the sale of the team was interesting.

Lerner told him he isn't getting the team if he changes the helmet.

Thank god

What if he changes the helmets anyway? Does he have to give the team back to Randy?

I've got a feeling that I'm gonna be posting this a lot this year, but these are the only changes I'd be willing to see:

-White facemask instead of gray
http://ts1.mm.bing.net/th?id=H.4984671136122008&pid=15.1

-Addition of orange pants as an option at home or away
http://ts3.mm.bing.net/th?id=H.5047338998564342&pid=15.1

-Removal of AL from sleeve (was reported will happen a while ago)

-Striped socks at home (to match the ones on the road)
http://www.posters.ws/images/358305/tim_couch.jpg

And that's it. Nothing else. I love our tradition and I love our uniforms. Just clean them up and make them more consistent.

In terms of alternates, though, I'm a lot more open.

I like this updated version of our old orange jersey (no dropshadow)
http://ts2.mm.bing.net/th?id=H.4703075946924237&pid=15.1

-1946 throwback ALTERNATE (white helmet and all) to be used once a season like the Bears' alternate

Although, I imagine that just relates to the basic color/design of the helmets. If the league comes out and mandates a change to helmets, it will be changed.

As to Orange pants, I know this is a sin, but I really don't like them. They look goofy. And as much as it sounds dumb, these guys are 21-25 year olds. How they look may in fact impact how eager they may be to play for us.

To be fair, I believe TJ Ward has gone on record saying he likes our uniforms.

I have to pay $15 per month until the end of the original contract date.

Striped socks? White face masks?? Eeeeeeeasy there wild man Wink

Frankly I'm all for a new look - our color scheme is fine, a lot can be done with it and besides, we can wear the current uni's as "retros" so we get the best of both worlds. New team, new attitude ...... new unis!

I found this carousel at the Penalty Flag Blog.

http://thepenaltyflagblog.com/blog/cleveland-browns-helmet-uniform-concept-design/#jp-carousel-20943

I'd be ok if they changed it, I really like the one that says Cleveland right across the front.

But I'd be ok if we kept it the same. All of our uniforms and logos will be in style if we can start putting up some more wins.

Heard a rumor that they are possibly looking into the color grey to be a predominant color in the new jerseys.

Thus doing away mostly with the color brown.

I!! WOULD!! HATE!! HATE!! HATE!! HATE!! HATE!! THIS!!!!

We're the BROWNS. The color IS our name. No way they could get rid of it. People would make jokes and wonder why our name is the Browns anyway.

I agree.

Although, the name and the reasoning behind why we have that name really has nothing to do with the color but I agree.
