DE Kenyon Coleman has torn triceps injury... Nothing official yet but it's very likely he could be out the rest of the season.

Spears will now be the starter. This means we are going to see more action from Crawford though.
Last night was likely Coleman's last game as a Cowboy. _________________

Wow. I didn't even realize he was still on the team after the BP era. I never heard his name called. I'm assuming he's been on the inactive roster and tore his triceps while doing some scout team work? |

Starters or contributors lost (at some point) on defense this year:
Church - S
Lee - LB
Rat - NT
Coleman - DE
Jenkins - CB
Mo - CB
Sensy - S
Spencer - LB
Connor - LB
Lissemore - DE (fixed it for ya, tex)
Honestly. The only person who hasn't been injured yet - Carter. _________________

Isn't that the same injury that Jason Ferguson had before we let him walk to Miami and brought in Jay Ratliff?
I think Hatcher and Lissemore will be the future at that position next year and then a replacement for Hatcher will have to be brought in as he's already in his early 30s _________________

He was a backup who rotated with Lissemore until he got injured -he's been starting since. _________________

that really shows how much credit Rob Ryan deserves. We have had a lot of injuries actually, but the defence continues to perform. Who ever decided to sign Sims and those FA safeties, defintly deserves a lot of credit too. |

Nah, that doesn't sound right. Like I said, I've never heard his name called. I'm pretty sure he was just above the practice squad. |

He was starting after Lissemore got hurt. He would rotate with Spears. |

That's why he lives in Vegas. They have establishments where if you got enough cash you can yank on whatever you want. He is a smart man like that. _________________

Alameda Ta'amu have just been released by the Steelers. I wouldnt mind to pick him off waivers. He looked like a good talent coming out of college, nothing special but has the talent to succeed. With Coleman and Lissemore out, I want us to get him.
6'3, 348 lbs. but is quicker then his weight indicates.
earlier this year, he had a hell of a weekend where he got arrested.. so he got some off the field concerns:
Quote: | 1. He got very, very drunk.
Arresting officers say Ta’amu’s breath smelled like alcohol, his speech was slurred and his eyes were bloodshot. Police say Ta’amu agreed to take a blood alcohol test, and he registered a blood alcohol content of .196 percent, more than twice the legal limit.
2. He hopped in his car.
The criminal complaint says police spotted a 2006 Lincoln Navigator going the wrong way on Fort Pitt Boulevard early Sunday morning, when the driver then crossed the Smithfield Street bridge and ran a red light as he turned onto East Carson Street.
3. He took a shortcut.
Police say the driver then crossed into opposing traffic, driving on the wrong side of the street for seven blocks, to pass several cars at a time on East Carson Street.
4. He almost ran over a cop.
The criminal complaint said one officer dressed in full uniform yelled, “Police! Stop the vehicle.” That officer then said the driver, later identified as Ta’amu, swerved toward him and nearly ran him over.
5. He was almost shot.
Two other officers said they also spotted the car and drewtheir guns as the Navigator came at them, but neither of them fired “due to the large number of pedestrians and motorists on the sidewalks and roadway.”
6. He hit a bunch of parked cars.
Police say Ta’amu took a sharp turn off of East Carson Street and onto South 14th Street. There, he allegedly hit four cars as police chased him.
7. He wrecked his own car.
The chase took another turn when police say Ta’amu hit a fifth car, totaling both vehicles.
8. He took off his shirt (?) and ran for it.
Police said they ran toward him, and officers say Ta’amu than sprinted away from the car. Investigators said he took off his blue shirt to avoid being recognized.
9. Finally, he got punched in the face.
When police caught up to him, they told him to get on the ground and put his hands behind his back. According to the criminal complaint, one officer was concerned that Ta’amu was reaching for his waistband, so he punched him in the face. Police said they eventually got Ta’amu, who refused medical treatment, into handcuffs and took him to jail. |

He's likely facing prison time for 5 felonies and a big suspension - no? _________________

according to the article, he won't get a suspension because the steelers already suspended him two games after the incident. as for prison, I got no idea. |

Really doubt a team suspension will stop Goodell from suspending the guy, but who knows.
Everyone on the Steelers forum said he was trash and was a fringe roster guy prior to the incident so I doubt he's worth picking up _________________
