As a fan you would like it but these players have batteries you know, injury risk rises. Imagine if you have a thursday night game the next week and youre game goes on, you'll be physically and mentally drained for the next game.
Like somebody said, if you can win it in 60 mins and then not in 15 mins of overtime, then you dont deserve to win. And considering youre a 49ers fan i presume, you should be happy that you got a tie because the rams easily couldve won and deserved to win. _________________

Leave it to the kickers, kind of like a shootout.....line up from 40-45 and whoever hits the most out of 3, wins _________________ Stevan Ridley, Att: 225, Yds: 1010, Y/A: 4.0, TD:9

Peter King just tweeted that Amendola didn't know that there wasn't a second overtime.
You'd think players would know this by now... |

Field Goal H-O-R-S-E? Might be more interesting. _________________

In the event of the game ending in a tie I feel opposing teams kickers should rochambeau for the win. flip a coin and winner of the call goes first. _________________

Maybe he was confused and thought it was the same rules as the playoffs?
As everyone knows, you can't tie in a playoff game. In that scenario, the game goes on until somebody wins. _________________ -Not taking this off until the 49ers win #6 |

| Nah, I'm good with a tie. If you can't win the game in 75 minutes tough cookies. Do a better job next time. |

No need to risk more injuries playing on fumes. Every 4-5 years people ask this question. In the end, no one cares. It's not a big deal. Who cares if it's anticlimactic. It's a random game in the regular season where teams had 75 minutes to settle it. Or in this case 73 and change. _________________ Top 50 Franchise Cornerstones (2012) - COMPLETED! |

This poll is almost tied. Which makes me hate this thread. Imagine how I feel about games ending in ties.
Yes. They should be abolished. I hate ties. _________________

I wonder if he thought it was weird that Bradford spiked it at the end. Though this would explain why some of our players were jogging back after Bradford's sack. _________________

I agree. And why does tying them have to be so complicated anyway? _________________

Most people don't like a game without a winner/loser, but how much can you put the player trough before it's really unsafe? You can't just keep going without putting your guys at risk. _________________

I say we go to kicker shootouts if they cant close it out in the 5th. Start at the 30. 5 yards back every kick until one misses. _________________
