The team, as you all know, is 3-5 at the halfway mark. The team plays 5 of its last 8 games at home, and actually after the Philly game next week 5 out of 6 at home.
So, what do you think the Boys' record will be in the 2nd half and do you think they will make the playoffs?

I'm gonna go with 5-3, we'll sweep either Washington or Philadelphia, split with the other. Lose to the Steelers and then lose a game we should win(Bengals or Browns, you pick) in classic Cowboy fashion.
They'll give us slight hope again late in the season and crush us again. _________________ PSN: BloodOps

Ouch... but then again, if the team won't make the playoffs, they may as well miss it badly and get a high pick in return. _________________

No matter,a fan should never hope for his team to lose, even if it can gives us a better shot at the future. _________________

I never have understood the desire to fail in order to get a higher pick - and I likely never will. _________________

It's kind of obvious - higher pick leads to greater odds of getting the best talents in the draft or to be able to trade down to get a boatload of picks.
And with the new rookie contract scales, high picks are great assets.
On another note, I would rather see this team finish 3-13 than to finish 7-9 or 8-8 once again. If the team finishes around .500, JJ will most likely think this team is ever so close to competing for the SB and once again ignore that the team actually has numerous holes. _________________

Neither do I. At this point, I don't care what our record is. All I want to see, is the team continue to fight each and every game.
I would like to see Arkin inserted over Bernadeuce at this point. Let's see what he has. _________________

And the people who paid for the season?
I get 16 days of watching my team (sometimes more) out of the year. That's it. I like to enjoy it.
The Draft is a crap shot. If we keep looking for the future we miss what is right in front of us - like Witten making history. Got to enjoy the season and wish for the best. _________________

Team finishes 6-10 with a Top 10 draft pick and Dallas has to choose between Barkevious Mingo or Jonathan Hankins.... _________________

That's the gamble with buying tickets. Each year for the last 6-7 years, I've shared a 20-ticket package for Ottawa Senators games with 2 friends. They've had some tough years in that timeframe, but that's part of being a ticket holder. You live with the highs and lows. Your expectations also get adjusted during the season.
If the team is out of it, I would like to see what some of the young guys can do. I would want to see the team start preparing for next year. That means playing Dunbar and Tanner more and less carriers for Jones; more PT for Beasley while involving Ogletree less; giving more PT to Brent, Crawford, Wilbur, etc.
Continue to play hard and give the youngsters valuable experience and PT. This will only help for next year. _________________
