Part of the problem with celebrating wins is what happens the following week: the inevitable letdown loss. Have you already forgotten what happened in Week 2 when we spent more time celebrating than we took preparing ourselves mentally for our next opponent and working to correct the mistakes made in Week 1?
Being happy with the win is perfectly fine with me. I'll never be unhappy with a win against the Eagles. But, keep things in perspective: it's 1 of 16 games. We need to spend more time working to improve the mistakes we made in this game rather than reveling in the win. Because if we don't work to correct the mistakes, we will repeat them. As we've seen week after week, year after year. A team should always work to improve after a loss, but it should work even harder to improve after a win. |
NEWSFLASH: WE DON'T PLAY THE GAME. WE JUST WATCH. |
But players behave exactly the same way. So, yelling "NEWSFLASH!!!!!111!!1!!1one!!11!!" means nothing. |
So what does us celebrating have anything to do with the players? |
Oh, I dunno...because they celebrate, too? Did you not read Jerry's comments after Week 1 when he told the team to take MORE time to celebrate the win over the Giants? How'd that work out for us? |
Sorry, I didn't know the players read my posts on this forum too. |

They don't need to read your posts. They talk amongst themselves and have an owner telling them to behave that way to begin with. That, coupled with multiple news outlets in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, and the behavior happens anyway.
How can you be so naive as to think that doesn't happen, or that it could only happen if they read a message board? You must be very young. _________________

Best part: Zero turnovers |
Jerry still owns the team, therefore the team sucks and any attempt to glean enjoyment from this team is merely setting yourself and everyone else up for disappointment. Please punch yourself in the nuts now or you are no true fan of the team, because a true fan of the dallas cowboys can only be satisfied with a Super Bowl season.

I usually watch the game and then go back and read the GDT. For some reason I have trouble doing both at the same time. I made it to page 25 of that trash before I had to exit out. There are about 5 of you that may actually be insane. _________________

Dwayne Harris and Cole Beasly. Nuff said'
On a more serious note, Great return by Dwayne, need to get better oline play, we wont last come playoff push time with the way they are run blocking, and 13 penalties? Still undisciplined when it comes to that.
But a road win against a division opponent is hard to come by, good win all in all. _________________

To be fair it was leftover burning charcoals that supposedly started it by accident, also I have not seen confirmation it was a cowboys fan's car.
If its true at least we don't/didn't pull a San Francisco. I still think there is a conspiracy that all the sudden the Niners and Giants (MLB) are good....both leagues rigged it so San Fran fans stopped stabbing people, etc after losses every week. What a bunch of lunatics. _________________

This game is fixed!
We are doomed!
We are down by 7, why even play the rest of the game!
Mo Clai is a bust!
We should have never wasted a 2nd round pick on Mo!
TNew is doing so much better in Cinci than Mo Clai! < actually said
Can't believe we wasted a 1st and 2nd on this trash!
Here is the start of our downward spiral!
Hatcher sucks!
Spencer sucks!
Brent Sucks!
Coleman Sucks!
Spears Sucks!
Can we please get someone to return punts next year!
Our season is over!
A 1st and a 2nd on someone he should be able to walk on water! < actually said
is that Austin hurt? I'm done with him!
Ratliff Sucks!
This game is over!
This game is set up!
It's rigged!
All of this largely when we we were down by 7 in the first quarter.....
And the we.... won the game. _________________

I do think all we are doing is ruining our draft pick. 8-8. |
