He's due to earn $15.5m next season with a guaranteed salary of $4m. Obviously cutting him would make a lot of sense for the struggling Eagles. He has been exposed in Philly (whattup Cruz) while not protected in Al's man to man scheme and his value has plummeted. Obviously things are different here now but IMO Nnamdi would still be an upgrade over what we currently have. He likely wouldn't cost much either, considering he would still be getting paid by the Eagles and maybe he'd give us a hometown discount considering all his charity work.
Will he get cut? Would you sign him if you're Reggie? _________________

Past his prime, but I wouldn't mind him if he comes cheap. _________________

If we can get him at a good price...
I was out in philly last year and all I heard on the radio was how he wasn't what they expected. Bring him cut Gio and put him at safety. |

With Huff now at CB he would be a better option as a veteran FS than anything we have back there right now. What a shame that he let his desire for the biggest contract damage his legacy as a shut down CB. _________________

I heard he didn't get an offer from us because Al chose to pay Routt instead. _________________

Any team relying on their cornerback to stop the run is in real trouble. _________________

It's not just the run it's tackling in general. He can't even tackle a WR. Every time a WR catches the ball it's off to the races. |

Al knew what Nnamdi's contract demands were going to be. And people that I know who know him said that he knew all along that he wasn't coming back because this was probably going to be his last opportunity at a big contract. He knew pretty wuick that he was going to sign with the Eagles no matter that the media reported. _________________

| I wouldn't be opposed to converting him to safety. As far as tackling concerns, this is very strange, I mean in Oakland he was one of the best tacklers we had. I have heard that his interests just aren't in the game any more that he'd like to do other things. If true we might not want to pick him up, although I hope he retires a raider. |

No thanks. He's not that good in zone, poor in run support and getting old. _________________

Agree with most of the above. Wouldn't mind seeing him at safety if possible, but I don't think bringing him back is practical.
Still a boss though. _________________

Just nostalgia, I guess. I didn't think about using him as a safety, not sure his particular set of skills would be suited for that. He's more of a man cover guy, no? Not sure putting him in space and asking him to do the things we ask Huff/Gio to do would be a great fit. _________________
