I hate to see him go, but if he doesn't restructure to bring his cap hit down then he might be a necessary casualty.
If this disaster continues and McKenzie chooses to be like Al and lets Allen go, I wonder if Gruden gets a call. |
I seriously doubt he calls gruden. Gruden would want more power than RM wants to give him. I highly doubt DA gets the ax, if anyone deserves it it's Knapp. He has talent and he can't use it, not like Tarver. |

Offense- CP,TP, lil WIz, Dmo, DHB, JV really i like a lot of the players its the coaches i don't like.
Defense- Well none of them are essential, none of them.
We could keep Huff, Branch, Houston, Burris, Bryant, Matt.S. |

Offence
Palmer - Can lead this team while we rebuild the next 2 years at least
McFadden - Unless we can get a decent draft trade (which i doubt given his production and injuries this year)
Reece
Moore
Heyward Bey - Still has something to offer and we don't need to make extra holes
Myers - We have bigger fish to fry than TE
Veldheer
Wiz
Briesel - Not great but we don't need to create holes, add a LG and RT and hope he improves with time
Defence
Houston
Shaughnessy - Depending how much he wants to get paid could be a solid rotation player but i'd like to draft a RDE pass rusher
Bryant - Now our starting DT
Burris - The new Greg Biekert!!!
Wheeler - Couple of bad games recently but he will be depth at least
Huff - Cover at CB and FS
Branch - I still think he's a solid SS as long as we can play to his strengths
Spencer - Looked solid until injured and can probably sign back cheap
Seems like a lot but beggars can't be choosers, we still have to weed out bad contracts etc. and we don't have a 2nd round pick so to dump an average player for an unknown draft pick from round 5 (for example) would seem counterproductive to me. Keep players that are average and better and try and improve the weakest links first. OL and DL must be the priority. _________________ “It may take us a short while, but we'll get that nastiness of the Raiders back.”

I wouldn't let him go for less than a low 2nd. 'If' and its a big 'If' we can get the OL to at least average standard (ala last season) McFadden can be one of the most explosive backs in football. _________________ “It may take us a short while, but we'll get that nastiness of the Raiders back.”

No one will give a 2nd up for a back who gets hurt every single year and is only averaging 2.5 YPC this season or whatever he's getting. How do we know this "explosive" year he had last season wasn't a fluke? Not suggesting it is but so far, his bad years heavily outweigh his good ones. _________________

i agree it wont happen
but IMO the patriots would be unstoppable if they traded their 2nd for him.
Could you imagine how much space he would be given on that O. it would be scary to see. _________________

to some people, depends who you ask and what they like in a QB. I guess.
Pryor will be given a chance to compete, but in no way will his presence stop the FO form drafting a QB they like. _________________

I agree w/ that logic which is why I thought we might've had a chance to get w/ GB and make a deal w/ them last off-season... oh well... _________________

And then he'd have to stay healthy. And that's assuming he can produce in a ZBS if we stick to it. But that'd be just for one year since he's a FA at the end of the 2013 season.
So, yeah, i'd be happy with a 4th at this point. _________________

To people who don't understand the game of football or have only seen him play a couple times, yep. To those that know better, hell no. _________________

I think we'd be very lucky to get a 4th for him. I'd take it in a heartbeat. _________________

how easy is it to do trades with a conditional pick? good teams always do them to ensure not getting ripped off it seems. we never do.
a 4th rd pick this year + a conditional pick depending on if he goes to the probowl the next year or breaks 1500 yds? that could be a 2nd
I donna, im sure they are a lot more complicated... but i always get upset that we never do conditional pick trades.
We should have gotten a 2nd from the pats for what Moss did their, still bitter about it I guess _________________
