Picking 11th, I doubt Lewan or Joekel will be there and I'm not sure if Fisher or any other OT is worth the 11th selection.
1. Bjorn Werner DE/OLB Florida State
2. Oday Aboushi - OT - Virginia
3. Bidi Wreh_WIlson - CB - Conneticut
4. Zack Dysert - QB - Miami of Ohio
5. CB
6. OL
7. BPA |
Joeckel isn't worth the 11th selection. I'd take Fisher there without hesitation.
When people start really watching film, and see the offseason workouts, Joeckel is going to drop like he had cement shoes in a lake. _________________

So you have Fisher ahead of Joekel, how about Lewan? I haven't watched too much film yet, but what would be your opinion on the top 5 OT's?
Fisher #1? |

I put Lewan at 1, Fisher at 2. I'm still going through a lot of guys, so I'm unsettled on the rest. Lewan is about equal on technique with Fisher, but he plays a lot stronger. Here was my writeup on Fisher

Joeckel has a lot of flaws that are hard to correct. A few of them are going to kill him on the NFL level. He has a lot of the same footwork problems as Jonathan Martin has/had, and we all saw that fall. It was the reason I wanted nothing to with him last year. On top of bad footwork Joeckel has the fatal flaw, letting people into his body. _________________

Phillips, Jammer, Garay all gone for sure right?
Then hopefully Gaither, Clary, and Meacham are cut. Spikes sounded like he was going to try and give it another go, but if the new GM/coach want to gt younger he may be cut as well.
I think the team will try to get Cason and Vasquez back for cheap too, just because it would be tough to lose more than 2 or 3 OL and both cornerbacks. |

Meachem has a guaranteed salary and could be salvaged by a new coach. Jammer might be back on a cheap deal, he has some use when he isn't on burners. Gaither has a guaranteed salary, but might just get cut because everyone hates him. _________________

He (quietly) had a very solid season. If he leaves, we'll need an entire new Oline. _________________

Oh joy. They are raising season ticket prices $320.00 on my two seats. I am very vexed. _________________

That is pretty telling right there. Sad that a guy with such talent who could be so dominant in the league just doesn't seem to care. He showed last year in those 5 games that when his mind is set he is great, but only because he wanted paid. Just imagine if the guy had 1/2 the drive of someone like Rivers or Weddle.
I know it will suck eat the cap hit but there is no way someone takes his contract knowing everything. _________________

Round 1: Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama
Round 2: Oday Aboushi, OT, Virginia
Round 3: Ryan Nassib, QB, Syracuse
Round 4: Leon McFadden, CB, San Diego State
What would you guys think if your first four rounds went like that? _________________

Unless the guy is the next Waters, I don't feel a guard is worth a top 11 pick. We have no reason to waste a 3rd rounder on CB. McFadden would walk in start and then destroy the entire NFL with his skills. Matthews in the 1st, 2nd round pick is perfect, in the third we need either a pass rushing specialist that can contribute from day one... ok unlikely so take the best available guard there. _________________

When the Ravens cut Gaither I wanted him more then a tornado wanted a trailer park. When the Chiefs cut him I didn't want anything to do with him. When the Raiders cut him I was really wanting to just stay away. Then we signed him and he looked great. I wanted him back but at a bargain price with no guaranteed money. Now I am stuck with Shane Olivea 2.0. He must be cut. Screw the cap hit, Gaither must go. _________________

Didn't sign with the Raiders because he failed a physical. _________________
