They aren't getting rid of the combine. These are for players who didn't get invited to the actual combine. They did it last yer too I believe.

You're right on the first part. Misunderstood that part of the article.
I don't think there was anything to this effect last year.

Adrian Robinson
Johnny Hekker
Greg Zuerlein
Another 14 made practice squads. |

Agreed. I believe that's what makes it a Super Regional Combine. 
Anyways, this is something I'll probably keep an eye on but certainly won't go out of my way to watch. I certainly like the idea though, never hurts to get as many kids in front of scouts as possible.

| Not a bad idea, anything to give scouts more exposure to draft prospects. I think it will give players more opportunities to catch scouts' attention and it will give scouts an extended look at these prospects. Really, a win-win for everyone, and the extra potential revenue if they can market this wont hurt. Ultimately, its about improving the scouting process and I think this helps a lot. |
