To say Manziel isn't a special CFB player is just plain dumb.

As far as his pro prospecta go? Gotta long way to go.

Youre talking about a guy that wins with his leg more than his arm, and is playing behind two top 15 offensive tackles.

He's a freshman so there's a lot of time for him to develop, but at this juncture I wouldn't put much in his pro prospects.

Very good college player though

Thats what i mean... is this Draft forum or the College forum?

I dont care what he does in college football... worrying about W's and L's in college football is unimportant... Can his skills translate to the pros and what is his draft value is all i care about... and hes just not very special in terms of a pro prospect.

Maybe he is the next Antwaan Randle El Question Idea

I noticed Texas schools and most Big 12 really fib about there players sizes and speeds. I think its a midwest south thing probably cultural.. if your 5'9 in real life at Oklahoma or Texas A&M you are 5'11 .. if your 205 your 215.. if you run a 4.5 you run a 4.34..etc... those schools are the worst man...

I remember when Crabtree was 6'4 220 running a 4.3 in college and for 3 years we argued on the forums about it ...

Yeah, but there were rumors out of Georgia that AJ Green was running 4.28s in college IIRC.

Bednarik60, you've contributed so many posts in this thread yet it you manage to make it sound like you've never seen him play. I think it's cute when people write prospects off with some kind of air of authority. I remember this time last year there were many saying Russell Wilson would never even get drafted, "not a chance," and look at him now.

Anyway, for a freshman he looks very good throwing the ball out there. Decent arm, very clean release. Has many attributes to improve on, but for a freshman he is well ahead of schedule. His athleticism is a bonus.

His built is awful for transitioning to the pros He looks barely 6 feet and 10 lbs shy of 200 lbs.... Look at R.Wilson and you see he is just solid and well built specially around the chest and upper thighs a lot like McNabb was when he first came out of Syracuse. Johnny Manziel is interesting but hes not special or does he have tools to transition to the next level but some one will take him outside of the top 60 picks.

Not special? He's the best player in college football and he's a freshman.

That's an opinion, not a fact. He has [inappropriate/removed] his pants against LSU, Florida and Ole Miss. Best player in his sport would rise to the occasion against the best competition, no?

No, it's actually a fact. He didn't "crap his pants" against Florida or LSU or Old Miss. Florida was his first game as a starter, a game in which the coaching staff stated they limited the offense for him. He beat Ole Miss on one of the most memorable drives for any player this season, and he played well enough to beat LSU, but his kicker missed two field goals (neither of shich was over 40 yards) and an extra point.

This isn't kindergarten. Evaluations are not opinions. Manziel is the best player in the country. He will have at least one Heisman before he goes to the NFL.

Yeah, you are stupid. Go watch another team for once.

How are you going to say its him?
His defense can't do anything. His coach called a run up the guy on third and seven. He hasn't made a mistake in the first half.
