This is a nice win, but we need to step it up on defense. Next week at Carolina won't be as easy. They've lost 5 in a row at home and you bet in a division game, are wanting revenge from week 1.
Then, we face the next opposing QBs in 3 of the next 4:
- Matt Ryan
- Peyton Manning
- Drew Brees
That's going to be tough for the Bucs. |

Those are great QBs, but I like the one we have and I'm sure Freeman can match these guys in the game. Coach Schiano has done a great job, I expect the offense to continue to carry the load and the defense has to continue to be opportunistic. |

I like Freeman too, but that's not what I was getting at. More towards our Secondary sake of needing to step it up because if a struggling phillip rivers and carson palmer can play like that against us, I don't want to know what these teams can do.. |

My point is I believe this offense led by Freeman can match any offense scoring. Sure those QBs are going to torch this secondary, but the Bucs offense can roll 30 points or more on anyone because of the running and passing. The defense just has to compliment the offense, which certainly is a role reversal in this franchise's history.
The defense has to continue to step up at critical times during the game. After the 1-3 start, the defense has done exactly that. They're going to give up yards, but key stops and a timely turnover with this offense is good enough to win games. |

Thing is that throw rivers made right to Leonard Johnson , manning Ryan nor Brees is going to make that stupid decision.
Freeman is commanding an explosive offense but our pass defense can allow any qb to light us up. I can't imagine how elite qbs are going to do. Our offense needs them to contain bc it's not good to go into shoot outs each week.

I seriously don't know why we don't do this from the beginning and let our line just straight rush the passer. |

After yesterday's game...
Bucs offense:
3rd in points/game - 28.9
1st in yards/play - 6.2
1st in plays of 40+ yards - 16
Freeman:
7th in QBR - 98.2
1st in yards/attempt - 8.3
3rd in TD% (6.6%)
7th in Int% (1.8%)
Martin:
4th in rushing yards/game - 95.8
T-2nd in TDs - 7
4th in yards/attempt - 5.0 (for RBs with at least 100 attempts)
1st in yards from scrimmage/game - 128.7
This offense is amazing. Sullivan, Fleck, Turner, Byner, Bostad...all of these coaches deserve a ton of credit for unlocking this offense's potential. |

Huge props to Lavonte David, the guy is a tackling machine. Calling the defense and making play after play for a rookie is very impressive. |

David is 5th overall in the NFL in tackles. The tackling overall has been outstanding. Ball carriers aren't breaking many tackles or falling forward for an extra yard. |
