Using Marvel and DC comic book characters, how would you field a team to be feared? How would you build it? In my scenario, Heroes would be offense and Villains would be defense, but it's nothing set in stone. In mine, I tried to assign each a position that would appeal most to their attributes and background. I am also assuming a level playing field where powers could be used that weren't too destructive or unfair, which is why guys like human torch were left out (can't just set the field and equipment on fire lol)
How would you build your Elite Squad? Feel free to correct mine
HEROES
OC-Batman
QB-Superman, Daredevil
RB-The Beast, Wolverine, The Flash
WR-Spiderman, Mr. Fantastic, Green Lantern, Night Wing
TE-Captain America, Thor
LT-The Hammer
LG-Collosus
C-Hellboy
RG-The Thing
RT-Hulk
Villians
DC-Joker
DE-Abomination,
DT-Solomon Grundy
DT-Juggernaut
DE-Clayface
SLB-Venom
MLB-Doctor Octopus
WLB-Sabertooth
NCB-Blade
CB-Zoom
CB-Sinestro
FS-Magneto
SS-Carnage
K/P-Lizardman
Returner-The Flash |

So heros on offense, villains on defense?
Mr. Fantastic at QB. Superman and Flash at wide receiver. Wolverine at tight end. Hulk at left tackle, The Thing at Right tackle. Captain America at center. Thor and Collosus at guard. Batman at running back.
Professor X calling the plays.
Blob, Juggernaut, and Bane on the defensive line.
Doc Ock at linebacker.
Bizzaro at free safety. Green Goblin at strong safety.
Riddler running the show. _________________ A sunny disposition is worth more than fortune. Young people should know that it can be cultivated; that the mind like the body can be moved from the shade into sunshine. Thine own reproach alone do fear

If your nose tackle isn't the Blob, you're doing it wrong.
EDIT: Also, Juggernaut at RB/FB. Win. _________________

Nightcrawler should be a QB. He could just teleport to the end zone every play. _________________

I agree with the blob, though not so much with juggernaut. All you have to do is stop him before his momentum gets started _________________

Bane needs to be at MLB or DE.
Also, Superman would throw through Receivers.
I would put Batman at QB, Superman at WR/RB with Dr. Manhattan being the HC. _________________

How many steps before he reaches "unstoppable"? We need a combine or something

QB should be... the Invisible Woman, Sue Storm.
not only would she be impossible to find in the backfield, but could create a force field to both protect herself and project the ball downfield.
winning. _________________
